It can't be more immersive than it is.
The stakes are higher and the loot is far more enjoyable.

It will be around and running until your character dies.
The attitude in "trade chat" is far different and mature since everyone knows your identity.
Oh and yea it's SANDBOX not themepark. Player driven economy, quests, etc.
The amount of players who are bored, unhappy and quitting it is below 0.1% (thats the suicide rate)
The endgame is still evolving. So many technologies, innovations and worlds unknown out there.
Most refuse to believe that real life is a "game" cuz thats how addicted and fooled are by its reality and complexity.

And there are 554324 of other features I could add here that make real life far more superior MMORPG than any of these hundreds of MMORPG's that been coming out over the last decade that refused to even add one of those features that I named above.
Props to UO and SWG-Pre CU who at least had SOME of those features back like PLAYER housing and player economy.
Comments
Most folks may not like the setting. Permadeath sorta sucks too.
I am sure it does if your not certain were your going
Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box. ~ Italian proverb
Permadeath adds value to character life and the newbs can't just rez again with full hp/mana so you can kill them over and over for no reward and loot.
You can hire others for many tasks out there that require grind. It supports both casual and hardcore play.
That's why $ matters a lot in such sandbox MMORPG. And anyone can become rich with the proper skills.
I beg to differ there are tons of bugs.
Everything that's created functions as it should.
Lol. Those aren't Bugs, they're "Features"
Starting locations may completely ruin this for some. After that stage, a several year learning curve is pretty long as well.
When you get to my age you will change your mind.
Soon to be 67, and trust me I have a lot of bugs.
Permadeath soon.
No cheats? tell that to a politician and he will crack up.
Ingame economy sucks.
Complicated to ignore drama queens.
PUG's won't leave in the morning
We dont need casuals in our games!!! Errm... Well we DO need casuals to fund and populate our games - But the games should be all about "hardcore" because: We dont need casuals in our games!!!
(repeat ad infinitum)
Real life = P2W

Not to mention all of the devs and GMs have completely abandoned the game!
This^^ with about 10 million different versions of the Terms of Service. Chaos...

No GM's = no bans and no suspensions
About your real life stuff, if I would like to play something like real life then I'd turn off my computer and play my real life and that's what I'm doing most of the time anyway. One reson I play MMO games is to forget my real life for a little while, not to keep "playing" it, so it's important to not make it too much super ultra realistic. I want to feel like I actualy play a game, being able once in a while to do something reckless or even stupid without dying for good (or going to prison). A reasonable level of realism is good, too much realism is not.
Depends where you live to what MMO style it is like.
Europe is more themepark style.
I can't turn into a owl thing and shoot moon lasers at people though =(.
I love science and math, but magic is just..... wizard.
Oh god, what are we doing to the english language?
Sorry, forget my previous post, I thought you were talking about a potential game... my bad
And because we dream, the player has copy of the world/universe inside them
Stragen001: Whoaa Deja Vu
MMORPG.com: What did you see?
MMORPG.com: What happened?
Stragen001: A black cat went past us, and then another one that looked just like it
MMORPG.com: How much like it? Was it the same cat?
