So ive been trying to record some games lately but none of the programs ive tried are working without lag
so far ive tried
Fraps,dxtory,bandicam
is there any other program out there that i can use to record games in 720p or atleast a good youtube quality

Unless you're recording to a different HDD from what youre playing from and your CPU is fairly good, you will experience lag no matter what.
Anyway try Mirillis Action! http://mirillis.com/en/products/action.html
I'm using this one personally because it gets me bloody good raw video files which I then proceed to edit and render.
pretty sure my CPU is good enough
think my HDD is just crap then...anyways im gonna try that program and see how it goes, thanks!
Fraps is the only thing you need. If you're having quality issues you're rendering the videos incorrectly. I suggest reading up on which codecs are good for rendering.
If lag is your main issue while recording your only option is to put the game in a lower resolution and lower the graphic settings. If you still get lag your computer probably can't handle it then.
Tried that Action program...works like a charm and the quility is good too, so far so good =P
Fraps imo is the best, but ill warn you to NEVER touch Gamecam, its awful.
well so far fraps is indeed working fine (forgot to update it before >_<)
also that Mirilli Action! is also a very good program the raw video you take from that is indeed better then that of fraps, but for now fraps will do...thanks all
Dxtory is easily my favourite, but make sure you use a good codec, x264 is my favourite. My HDD has a poop write speed, i get anywhere from 40-50MB/s in Dxtory, but using the right settings makes all the differance. The image shows my x264 settings, while you may at first believe it will not show good quailty trust me, it will, however tweak it to your liking, mine is mostly setup for fast pace, FPS type games.

does it look the same or better then fraps?
Those setting probably look slightly worse than the default Fraps ones (you can up them of course at exspense of performance), I have not done a close comparison, however the impact on my system is so much less (for me) allowing me to run my gamesa lot more smoother. If Fraps is working fine for you just stick with it, but if you do lag/find it hard to play it might be worth investing some time in playing around with Dxtory.
