Let me explain myself,
For those that don't know, QOA part 2 patch has been released in Korea a week ago today. With that the new T14 pvp gear has been released. But there is just one problem with the T14 pvp gear. It's crafted only.
You need the BG T13 gear, the new T14 nexus gear, add a whole pile of mats to create the T14 pvp gear.
For example if you want the T14 pvp weapon you need.
The BG T13 weapon
The Nexus T14 Weapon
Items from Bams
Items from normal mobs
Lvl 5 harvesting Mats
To make your T14 pvp weapon.
But all these items are rare/ex and can not be traded. That's right you can't give these items to a crafter to craft these items. Only you can craft these yourself.
So if your a Sorc for example your forced to lvl tailoring to 410 and focus crafting to 410 yourself in order to make the T14 pvp gear for yourself.
Now that might be ok for K-Tera because they have crafting quests all the way to 410 crafting, but over here in NA EME took out the lvl 250+ crafting quest. I mean you can't even lvl alchemy past lvl 300 because there are no quests.
So for NA players to even lvl crafting past 250 it takes thousands apron thousands of gold. Even to this day only a few players on the NA server have managed to get a craft to 410, spending hundreds of thousands of gold for just one craft.
Now BHS is forcing players to lvl up multiple crafts to 410 in order to even have a chance at T14 pvp gear.
Now EME could grow a brain, and bring back the crafting quests before QOA part2 releases here in NA. If not, good luck on ever getting the pvp gear...lol
Wait till more people hear about this...lol

If nobody could get it, then what would be the problem? I'm not playing TERA, and from the looks of the tiered gear threadmill, I never will. They can do whatever they want in that respect, I don't need a second job in the form of an MMO.
As a hardcore competitive Tera player. I could care less. I'll take the tier 13 set for my pvp gear and the tier 14 set for my pve gear from the new nexus stuff. Sounds awesome to me. I mean theres already plenty of tier 13 in the game and on the broker. +9 tier 12 is cheaper and fully efficient to do anything in game. I see no problem at all.

Playing Path of Exile and deeply in love with it.
This game just keeps getting better and better.
Forced crafting!
But i'm sure the amazing ability to aim in combat overrides any of the multitude of negative things that keep appearing.
It's the same reason people slow down to look at car crashes on the freeway.
Everyone loves a disaster. From the moment i tried this game in the open beta to the month i played it post purchase I knew its destiny. I didn't have a single doubt in my mind it would end up free to play with a cash shop and rank down there with all the other perfect world like games i've played.
The most enjoyable part was watching fanboys defend its shortcomings. The glaringly obvious faults Tera had were gleefully overlooked and in many cases defended as part of the game when clearly they were just lazy planning.
Even Penny Arcade Gabe posted how he loved its different combat/aiming system etc. Did he play it since his first few hours foray?. No mention of it in PA since then, not even a hint he's logged in ever. The story of many players. The dramatically dropping sub numbers don't lie. (I trusted Gabe on 2 game recommendations ever, Tera and a transformers game for my ps2 a while back, I regret both purchases.)
Pvp is still pointless.
No Bgs still!!
The vanarch system is being openly abused and Gms are well aware but say there's nothing they can do.
The nexus events are timed, so if you're casual or have work at that time no nexus for you!, Meaning FU when it comes to having decent pvp equipment (unless....)
Chronoscrolls mean you can buy gold, so being able to buy any equipment you fancy. Which has a dramatic knock on effect on the economy making everything way more expensive. The same thing happened in Aion and killed the game for many.
The game is sub based yet they still have a cash shop present.
The end game is non existant. It's just running the same dungeons and farming the same mobs in order to get the stuff to raise your enchantments. You do this so you have better equipment than the guy you have to fight. If you beat him then....well...you get nothing, he loses nothing. This makes it all pointless.
From what I read on the forums, the PVP T14 is crafted using the T13 BG Gear. All the mats you need for crafting are from the BG vendor. The only issue I see is getting your crafting to max level.
Everyone keeps talking about the game going F2P when the game is pretty much F2P with the price of Chrono Scrolls. I know a lot of people who cancelled their sub and just use Chrono Scrolls instead. Everyone keeps talking about how Chrono Scrolls allows you to buy gold to get any equipment. With how cheap they sell on the broker, you are barely making enough gold to buy the expensive items. It's a lot easier just to farm for the gold. Farming for gold is easy in the game, it's just keeping the gold that's a pain due to the gold sink of enchanting.
I'm one of the few that enjoy engaging in PVP because it's fun rather than getting rewards for it. I think part of it has to do with taking part in PVP before battlegrounds were even introduced in WoW.
The GVG Vanarch System was definitely a disaster but all the exploiting happened during the weekend. I believe it was something the GM's were not able to make a call on and had to wait for the higher ups of EME to make a decision on how to deal with it. I remember the same thing happened in WoW Cataclysm when a couple of top guilds exploited the LFR system. The GMs didn't take action right away and an official statement came from Blizzard a couple of days later.
TERA definitely has some big faults. I hate enchanting, removal of eggs were stupid, removal of crafting quest was stupid, and removal of the mystery boxes was stupid.
Also T14 crafted PvP gear only requires BG T13 gear and Mats from BG as well. Everything you need is from BG. And as for crafting, in Korea its extremely easy to lvl it up. And in NA t hey already lower the requirement mats to cap crafting by 2/3. Yu only need 1/3 of what you needed before to cap making it much easier than before,
For the T14 pvp White Feldspar Set, each set item recipe requires 4 main items.
2 Base Items: Explorer's Set(Nexus Raid) and Hero's Set(T13 pvp BG gear) item of the same type. For example, to craft the White Feldspar Greatsword, you would need both Explorer's Greatsword and Hero's Greatsword.
In addition, you will also need a certain number of Explorer's Stones and Victor's Stones for each item. For weapons, it's 3 of each. For body armor, it's 2 of each. For gloves and shoes, it's 1 of each.
Victor's Stones can be purchased for 2500 BG credits each. Explorer's Stones can be purchased from Agnitor vendors(the new nexus raid rep store).
The rest of the ingredients drop from the Bams and normal mobs in the BG.
I'm sorry, "Feldspar"? Really? xD.
In the last 3 days you were online 12 hours out of each day?
Just out of curiosity how do you get anything done?. Like eating/shopping/day to day stuff. That's crazy. Doesn't your gf/wife/partner get super annoyed?
200 duels, and practice pvp/some real pvp. Ok, but at the end of all that what did you have to show for it character wise?.
Schadenfreude - A malicious satisfaction obtained from the misfortunes of others.
[mod edit]
horrible game with horrible fans and teenage GM's. will only get worse.
Sad, I had such high hopes for this game, but for reasons I cant really put my finger on, after less than a week, I couldnt bring myself to log in anymore.
The sword combat was fun, almost addicting at first .. but beyond that no story or anythign that drew me in.

I don't even play TERA , Yet i find that this Equal Opportunity Bullshit is getting carried away. So what if someone has that Tier 14 PVP weapon, they can't make it for others, its only for themselves, and if they are willing to spend the time and effort to get to that top tier through hours and hours of play. Then whats it to you??
Just because you don't want to spent that time and effort doesn't mean that they should just hand it to you on a silver platter.
I am happy that they are doing this, because it separates the hardcore from whinying players.
I applaud their decision, rewarding the dedicated .
If Tier 14 is your goal, then go for it, they told you what you need to do, you don't have to do it if you think its gonna take too much time and effort, like many already stated, they are fine with their Tier 12 and 13 gears. Finally there will be a game avaiilable that actually makes the player characters known based on their efforts, and no longer just an same old MMORPG.
This is whats wrong with the games and Gamers. We feel obliged to receive everything without any effort. If we are told it will take 2 month to get, we want it in 2 days, if we are told it will take 10000 gold, we want it for 10 gold.
If you don't have time to play an MMORPG, don't play an MMORPG, if you feel like you have other responsibilites, then do those responsibilities, who the hell is stopping you.
I am really fed up with the whole equality and hand holding thats been going on, games are meant to be a challenge, they are meant to piss you off, if you aren't then you are not playing a game.
Life is a Maze, so make sure you bring your GPS incase you get lost in it.
Normally I would agree with you, but there is just one problem, EME went and ninja'd all the crafting quests. One day you woke up and all the crafting quests on the crafting board disappeared. No explanation was given and till this day EME refuses to even explain why they did it.
Now without those crafting quests a craft such as alchemy can not reach lvl 410. So Na players won't even be able to make the new Alchemy crafts in the game. How dumb is that ?
Other crafts it's possible to get to 410 if you have an entire guild feeding you mats. But players in a small guild or solo players are pretty much SOL on any of the new gear coming out in QOA part 2.
They did give an explaination about the removal of the quest but I remember the answer being lame. You can get to 410 crafting on your own but it's expensive and probably the biggest pain in the ass to accomplish. I am currently at 286 Weaponsmith. Going from 250-290 is where the crafting problems begin. After 290, all the mats you need shouldn't be too bad farm.
