Weve seeing all kind of mmorpg armagedom days and other BS talk...after all kind of maoney grab fast return dreemed games that devs wish to be blessed with just luck like WoW,following TERA,STOR,GW2 and other wow based little games.

This game answer "is there team play?" "sandbox or themepark?" etc type of n00bish questions,the 3rd generation of mmorpg that came to open a new era on mmorpg segment

Go and follow this game news and anouncements and wait for a real game worth to be called "released on 2012-2013" nowdays

    Unusual concept, to create your own MMO and then play in it.  I hope they get an English language site up and running.

    Thought Archeage was not gonna be released in West ? or did they change the release now if so any idea on when it is gonna be released in EU ? .

    it will be released just not anytime soon.. They are releasing in asia first.. Dont expect to see a western version for a few years..

    I gave up watching the vid linked in the previous post.  For a "Let's Play..." video there's far too little game being played inbetween the really long, really boring and really pointless flight sequences.  Let's have less of some bloke stuck on top of a hang glider and more action, please.

    I remember the players saying the same thing when Aion and FFXIV were in beta.  The game is so beautiful and pretty.  The gameplay is what I am most interested in and everything about ArcheAge screams horrible game play.

    A chunk of this game is about exploration, so non-automated-taxi traveling is part of the appeal.  There are plenty of other action games available if this one doesn't taste good to you.

    ArcheAge slated for NA release end of 2013, start of 2014. According to a interview done by MMORPG.com.

    I hope the game has more excitement to it than has been shown. When I first saw the jumping off cliffs and gliding into the distance I was impressed. The sailing also tickled my curiosity but so far all the footage I've seen seems boring. Looking forward to seeing the action this game will offer. So far the virtual world aspect seems top notch though...

    It looks huuuuuge, but I didn't get a good look at the combat.  That's an important factor for me, but most everything I've heard about AA sounds great.

    1) Bashing other products YOU don't like is never a mature way to present an arguement, and proves nothing about the product.

    2) Sandbox games pre-date themepark games, so how does a sandbox game warrant "to be called released on 2012-2013"?

    3) Just because a game is online and has quests does not make it like WoW (there were mmo's before it).

    4) Watching edited and select videos proves nothing about how a game really plays (proof is in the pudding, not the box).

    5) Game is a ways from being released in the WEST.  Based on history we know that East to West conversions typically do not do well in the West.  The game is still in development, so we still cannot fully comment on how it will play.

    I read alot of posts by people claiming sandbox games are the wave of the future.  I have played most sandbox games that have been released, and guess what?  They changed over time, or were taken offline.  History has proven that sandbox games typically do not do well, and too much player freedom leads to increased player griefing which utlimately leads to game failure.  I play games that I find fun, not games that fit an undefined and wildly different concept depending on the forums you read.
