nope I'm glad to see that the mods are taking out the posts made by monsters-under-the-bridge tho. I wondered what they would do around launch time because i predicted there would be an unusual upsurge of these types of posts.
There are plenty of negative threads about GW2, you're probably referring to a thread that keeps being created even though there's a more populated one elsewhere. This tends to happen with many games though, not just GW2.
They aren't locking critical threads, they are locking critical threads that have been discussed into the ground.
Such as : P2W / Cash Shop threads ; DE threads ; WvWvW Threads ; No Open - PvP threads, Threads about criticism , Threads about Fanboys.
All of these things and more have been discussed, exstensively and the end results were both ends of the "how do you feel about Gw2" spectrum were at each others throats.
They're being locked because there's more sniping and insulting rather than discussion occurring. You'll find many threads that are critical of the game still open to post in.
Realize that most criticisms you might have about GW2 already have threads created about them, there just aren't enough good criticism's of GW2 to justify dozens of threads about the games faults (which really are relatively few at this point)
I'm not a fan, I'm not even planning on playing GW2 right now, but I am very tired of endless repetitive threads about GW2, enough already, game's gonna launch and at least then we'll have something to talk about, the actual game as it plays live...for now I can understand the reasons for locking it down some.

Funny, I seem to remember you whining about the same thing on the SWTOR boards a while back when you wre busy instigating folks over there. Guess now this is your game it is time to cheer the mods rather than balk about them.
Anywho, the one ran its course. The other really shouldn't have been locked.

Or..... you know... it's all a conspiracy.

Or threads that have totally been derailed and aren't going anywhere.Which is both sides fault.

I just noticed they have locked a lot of duplicate threads today.

We aren't. PM me with examples and I'll be glad to explain them to you.
EDIT: As others said, we are cleaning up duplicate threads and other non-constructive threads.
