    They are up but you can't create a character.

    Edit: What I mean is you can create a character, but then you get stuck at the last stage and it can't access the login server.  Must be overloaded atm.

    Yes I'm in character creation, but having trouble completing a character at the moment - getting "access to login' server errors when I try to proceed from naming my toon...

    Ah - can't get back in after trying to log out to clear problem.

    Will keep trying!

    Arenanet announced a week ago they might be launching up to 3 hours early. Anyone who did not know that can only blame themselves. I was up 3 hours early and still missed my alt names however when I got on within minutes.

    eh, I doubt many knew, I had them on my facebook feed for a couple weeks never saw any such thing.  Nor did anyone mention it in the few posts I read here.

    you think they'd update their web site when they launched so we don't have guilds of 200 people waiting at "Full".

    They haven't launched. This is them getting "prepared". Officially they do not launch for another 2 hours. It was your duty to be ready 3 hours early as they said but that does not make it the official launch.
