Swtor's 1st month

GW2's first month
http://www.xfire.com/games/gw2/Guild_Wars_2/
At the end of one month the these two games are enarly identicle. The difference being SWTOR saw it's drop after the free 30 days. GW2 has constantly slid to the same point throughout the month. I would love to see some other 1st month comparisions from Lotor, RIFT, and TSW. If you have them post them ty!
I think it's fair to say SWTOR had a better 1st month as far as less slide in hours played.

Apples and oranges. They were released at different times of year. Summer is actually a time of lower participation. Also, the school kiddies and college students went back to school at the end of SWTOR's first month, and GW2 released right at the start of the school year.
It would be a great deal more accurate to average play over 6 months to see the health of a game.
Agreed. A six-month frame would be info one could derive some kind of conclusion from. If there was an equivalent graph for the first 30 days of EVE Online one would have sworn the game would never see the light of 2004.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

Here's the GW2 stats from xfire. http://beta.xfire.com/games/gw2
awesome ty!
Can we keep these for major titles released in the West?
I know you already did that, but just putting it out there in case it was a happy coincidence.
There is an XML interface into XFire data. It looks like the individual game data requires an XFire login. This would make it much easier to put together long term graphs of game data.
For instance:
http://www.xfire.com/xml/3041/game_details/
gives detailed information on GW2.
http://www.xfire.com/xml/3041/gameplay/
I think gives detailed XFire numbers (maybe) but it requires an XFire login, which I do not have.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
Wow, look at the completely irrelevant XFire numbers showing peaks correlating to the day with weekends, how can this be possible when none of my friends in Boondock, Idaho have XFire installed?
I have a login, but I don't know how to do anything with that xml data

who says a player of game a is just as likely to be on xfire as a player of game b?
hell, Star wars might appeal to a different range of players than GW2...
more parents are likely to buy their kids GW2 (as it has no sub) self same parents and kids might not run xfire.
theres a multitude of permutations,
ALSO
remember GW2 was unavailable to buy (due to server congestion) for a period
You could by the box copy at stores like Gamestop.
here in the UK i couldnt find a copy easily when i looked, it was certainly sold out in the physical shops when i went looking
