Embaressed to tell friends I play WOW.........

in World of Warcraft

Hi all,

You know the scene someone ask's what you did last night and
you let them know you played WOW. Then come the grins and snickers
in the background followed by, " but man your over 16 WTF". You try to
explain but the more you do the more you try to justify yourself. You
throw the old line that your just a kid at heart but that does little so you
try the numbers thing mumbling some 3 million players. Still they laugh
and think your still stuck in junior school. Anyone one else been there if
so let me know thanks.

    I dont get it... the age of computer games being for kiddies only long gone. We see mature old people playing them as much as kids to. Games are not for kids, games develop various skills, tactics, strategy, eye to hand coordination, logic and other skills. Its a form of education id say.

    I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

    ........nice one but too bad most of us have seen you post dumb shit about every 2 to 3 weeks slamming the game. YOU are one psycho messed up in the head dude!     hehe I agree, these games are great tools for honing all sorts of skills.  Like learning how to play as a team and taking a leadership role. Great tools for prep into real lifeimage.  They also prepare you for how ugly the world can be too hehe.

    I was shocked when I discovered there are no female nightelves in real life. I tried to hire a stripper so they can dance like nightelf females dance but they all looked like badly dressed human female, and one or two were actualy orc females in disguise! But I saw past their magic!!! GRRRRRRRRR

    I'm 24 and I play WoW. Parents b1tched at me once that I'm an adult and still play video games. I showed'em the statistics on the Daedalus Project how MMORPGs are populated mainly by adults and they never argued about adults playing video games ever again.

    You have a link to those statistics? I gotta convince my parents too, they are sooo conservative. Anything that is called a "game" that does not involve cards (ex poker ) is for children. So annoying, GRAWRLRLRLRLRLRAWL

    I just dont tell them.
    Im 15 and I still do other things in my life like party and play sports and have friends over.
    Its just not something they need to know, its a habit, an addiction if you will. It will eventually roll off.

    I think its funny how Tanktastic thinks WoW is for kiddies because the interface is simple...
    when most FPS's are played by adults and all you do is click!!
    Why does a game have to be complex to be fun? No one will think you are any smarter, trust us, you have proven that lol.

    EDIT: The only thing you should be embarassed about is how you think the only way to prove that you have an ounce of brain cells is by playing complicated, less popular and bland games like Everquest 2. I mean, man you must feel stupid thinking videogames is the only way you can make others think that your smart lol.

    ugh, how did i miss that. Rep in primary school means absolutely nothing, it won't get you a Job, it won't make you money, it won't get you a masters degree. Just be yourself man, and don't be ashamed of yourself for doing things you enjoy.
