Well, I guess I'd tell myself that the game was going to sink low enough that they would have to sell panties in their F2P cash shop to stay in business. So I either needed to roll female toons or just GTFO while the getting was good and before buying a preorder...

It's a standard themepark game, and the addition of stories won't make you like it any better than you did DA1.

Easy! I would tell them make an online world for players to explore and play in... make a sandbox to play in!

Not some instanced online game that is a piece of shit poorly cloned version of WoW with Starwars paint job.

    Played: MCO - EQ/EQ2 - WoW - VG - WAR - AoC - LoTRO - DDO - GW/GW2 - Eve - Rift - FE - TSW - TSO - WS - ESO - AA - BD
    Playing: Sims 3 & 4, Diablo3 and PoE
    Waiting on: Lost Ark

    *Shrug*

I may not be playing it now, but I enjoyed my time with SW:TOR.

Level that agent enjoy the story. You have plenty of time to get your BH ready for competitive pvp... Oh and don't waste a bunch of hours flying around to find Wpvp, it's not there. Matter of fact keep playing RIFT.

Doh! If I could travel back in time to 2008 I had better things to do than telling me about SWTOR! =P

I would have told myself that I was making the correct choice by not playing the game.  I have been on a roll lately of not buying MMO games. Last mistake was either Fallen Earth or War.

I would tell myself that you will be having fun for a few months and it was worth buying for that alone. However, do not rely on your friends to go to the same server you told them to go on because they are huge on pvp and you are not, as you already know this.  Also do not give away any of your items in the game, you may be back.

    I would have said:

"You're 100% right in pretty much everything.  Except, even the story is terrible.  But you're still going to buy it and have fun in it for a couple of weeks."

Don't buy the preorder collectors edition for myself and the wife.  Quit playing now before you get all bent out of shape.  Go back and play swg before they close the game for good.

And lastly tell myself "abandon all hope if you enter here"

To tell myself to level more toons to 50 before the server merges to retain more of my names that I got during head-start and not to quit when I did back in June.

Playing: varies every day it seems.

Remember when you bought FFXIV? After that complete let down you said you weren't going to preorder any more MMOs? Stay that course, man.

With new Star Wars movies on the way, it would have made some sense to keep SWG around - going to be a bit hard to get stuff a thousand years in the future from the new movies into SWTOR for promotional purposes...

Also, Galaxies was vastly better designed for the cash shop model than TOR.
