Personally being playing XCOM for the last few weeks - such a blast from the 1994 original!!
Interested in the Vet reward stuff and might even sub again.
The point I was trying to make is that as a community we should be open-minded to any sandbox out there! even with a ropey history.
And that right there is why you'll keep getting these shady wannabe devs like Henrik making games and making it harder for peope to take sandboxes seriously. Keeping an open mind for games is one thing. Ignoring a "developers" longstanding history is another.
You should be closing off the shady "devs" so there's room for the real ones.
Like who exactly? Hope DF works out but who else is out there? Name 'em plz? I want lots of sand box out there to choose form but it's a shittin tiny field - we all gotta agree that much at least. They are one of a tiny, tiny, number o houses trying to do this. All the biggies are too chiken shit to even try so gotta give them that, no? Even if they 100% clusterfuck they like a tiny minority having a pop at it. Balls-out for that at least.

Gave MO a chance. Game was a mess, GMs were rude, shady and possibly corrupt. Only support worth a damn was Theia and even he has been at the mercy of Henrik and discord's bad business handling.
While I want a game like MO to succeed, I don't intend to make up rubbish like you did to help starvault gain subs via lies. Starvault is a bad company who delivered an unfinished alpha and charged ppl AAA prices to play it.

I've played and supported SV with more than one account over the years, with the latest expansion and consequent GM actions I'm afraid I'm left with the unpleasant conclusion that they're just not up to the job of making an MMO worth my money and time with their current staff, from developers to GM's.

I have never actually bothered to write a message on here but I became incredibly bored so finally made an account.
Interest in the game has in no way picked up. You can see that very clearly from their stock shares which are bottoming out. Soon the company will not be worth the paper its name is printed on.
There has actually been a MASS exodus recently from the game with almost 100 accounts being unsubbed regarding recent GM decisions and some very shady practices.
The fact that GM's are allowed to play the game (Even though they say they are not) is a bit of a joke really. Take GM Herious for example, other wise known as ELY SWEED and more recently a member of RLC/FL.
Allowing a GM that makes game changing decisions to play the game that he is a moderator of and actively participate in any political actions is a bit of a joke really.
Until Discord is removed and Henrik digs deep in his daddies pockets to hire some quality professional staff the game will always be riddled with corruption and bias.
The community has even called out for this. Recent polls went up on the MO forum calling for Discord to step down and Theia to take up his mantle. It was massively in the favour of Discord stepping down until the SV machine stepped in to cover it up quickly. As with any nasty thing that ever pops up within the MO community concerning the staff and their less than unbiased actions it was brushed under the carpet.
SV needs to win back its community. Which they have no hope of doing.

All your posts in MMORPG are pretty much of the same kind and following the same strategy: 1)quickly jump in the middle of a conversation, 2) pick someone thats blaming SV for one of the thousands given reasons, bash him/ her personally cause you disagree or simply do your work and 3 ) jump out of the conversation again.
Your credibility is non existant and only thing you re trying to do is to create some noise around MO which is long dead for many but mostly the same reasons repeating all over again and again by the same people. MO is a shadow of a sandbox game since theres absolutely nothing regarding its half assed non working, shallow features that could allow someone to call it as you do. So to answer your question asking for a sndbox game out there worth playing or even a plethora of Sandbox games that you can chose from i will just have to say that there isnt but nor MO is one of them. And again regarding SV get your shit together. As much as you failing to see SV is a corporation. They are selling a product, they are advertising it (whatever means they are using its still advertisment) they are charging people for a monthly fee. They are even out in the stock market. As a corporation they suck donkeys ballz for a million reasons that have being discussed all over again and you know them one by one. They dont deserve support since they didnt even tried to fix their game after all those years and their only common tactic was their desperate tries to hold as many subs they could based on lies, hype and broken promisses based on the simple fact that there arent any worthy sandboxe games out there and a specific playerbase is hungry for a decent sandbox which MO never was and will never be.
Now to finish this cause honestly i dont believe it worths anyones time to discuss with you since all you do again is simply jump in, write few lines down the road of insulting others without even bothering with posting any facts, acting like people around here are delusional and you are the voice of common sense will simply have to ask you to give as a few links to backup your saying that you are sitting in the same wagon train with the rest and you often posting your complains and concerns about this "awesome" game you are trying to advertise as we speak. I would add he/they also avoid any specific issue mentioned and try to talk "around" issues- When he/they are proven wrong (i.e. SV being a Corporation/Stealing EULAS/Corruption/etc) he/they go away (never responding) and come back later with more personal attacks or just to say "we are wrong/delusional/etc."
-Then (when all else fails) it becomes either
a) Its a "small team"
OR
b) We have to support "sandbox games" like MO or nobody will make them again.
EDIT: It has been the same tactic again and again and again . Only now the fanboy numbers are almost non-existant. And when all else fails and the conversation is going against them- The "derail the thread and try to get it locked" tactic comes into play.

MO had the stolen EULA up for over a year and was released and was publicly shamed by CCP over it (made the gaming news)- But if you are worried about War Z or want to discuss it being a rip off- This isnt the place. Some improvements have been made in some areas. Regrettably, every "improvement" somehow breaks another feature or is implemented in a half-assed manner. Sad really.
