For me it comes down to the limit of only two character slots per server for F2P and Preferred customers.
My second choice would be the locking of the side action bars. You definitely need all of the action bars at the higher levels.

Hands down this.
Nice one, Frodo
Same for me, I made a few mocking comments about these two myself. They seem to notice the slot problem and there will be character slot purchase in CMarket, so I'm fine with that. (2 slots became some sort of standard in f2p models)
I guess the quickbar restriction is still leading the chart of stupid decisions. I had at least 3 /3.5 full bars, and they're planning to give subscribers +2 (for a total of 6 bars) so they know in some classes even the 4 bar was a bit tight. And they restrict it for f2p/preferred to 1, and after the massive LOL they raised it to 2... Lame. But it's not a restriction to hate, it's more for the laugh it's so lame
I might add to the list the "no bank / no mail / no direct trade" if TOR would be a real ( ) mmo, but since the returnees mostly will play it for the story, as a singleplayer game, it's not a hard limit. If you only level to the cap and stop, there's no need to hoarding stuff, you can just vendor trash everything.
The other limits are mostly common f2p restrictions. So I guess none of TOR's restriction is for hating. This model is aiming for the actual subscribers, milking them more through the Cartel Market. It's not for bringing an influx of new players.
The whole system is really restrictive across the board so it's difficult to pick out a single aspect of it.
I guess if I had to pick one thing it would be the extremely low cap on credits.
If someone wanted to play as an FTP, they can't even try and navigate the hoops and barriers put into place by grinding out credits. There seems to be no way to compensate for the Draconian restrictions other then spending a lot for second class unlocks, or paying an inflated weekly subscription, or subscribing.
This ^^.
SWTOR isn't F2P, it's a limited trial/Cannon-Fodder system same as PS designed to make you pay through the nose.
Expresso gave me a Hearthstone beta key.....I'm so happy
I didn't get to in LotrO, would be nice, but makes sense that if I'm not subbing or paying for it that I can't.
We wouldn't want the company to make any sort of profits off this, now would we.
You will keep your old characters - at least for a while until they figure it out how to take it from you in a subsequent patch
mmoguy43 posted a link earlier of a dulfy article, where Blaine Christine said:
"Subscribers will still have 12 character slots available on a single server. F2P players will have 2 (as will Preferred). At Launch, we are not enforcing the penalty on subscribers who convert to Free-to-Play, but we will in a subsequent patch. A further wrinkle is that if you have more than two and you delete characters at Launch, you will not get that slot back. Example: I have 10 characters as a subscriber this November, but in December I cancel my subscription. When I login, I can still use all 10 characters (for now), but I cannot create new ones and if I delete one, I will have 9 and not be able to create another until I go down to 1. Make sense?"
There will be ways in game to earn various amounts of Turbine points. In theory, you could never spend a penny in the store but still acquire enough Turbine Points to purchase everything you would want. It would take a great deal of effort, but it would be possible.
In contrast, subscribers will be able to earn points in game plus they will be given an additional 500 points per month for being a subscriber.

Always with the penalties, either now or the near future.
Subscribe now or loose your free cartwl coins.
Return now or loose your charcters.
Stick, stick, stick, little carrot.
And they're constantly amazed that they have a lack of subscribers problem.
Same two as you for me.
In an unrelated note, love the avatar... I'M A MONSTER!!!
I had a sub for 5 month. Have two 50 lvl chars.and couple in a middle. Charecter restriction for old subscribers is just stupid.
I rather resub to TSW then come back to restricted F2P of SWTOR.
I might play on a new acc, just for the story, if they fix some graphic bugs.

This, and the restriction put on Purple items (the latter is a dealbreaker, just as it was for EQ2 and Vanguard)
This x2.
If in 1982 we played with the current mentality, we would have burned down all the pac man games since the red ghost was clearly OP. Instead we just got better at the game.
I can not pick just one. After having a developer tell me that people not paying add value to their p2p game (gw2) and the fact that nothing in their shop is required for me to play.. EA/Bioware is just gonna step off a cliff with their F2P options.
UI Limitations
Warzone Limitations
Flashpoint Limitations
Item Limitations
The list just goes on forever, in short... I think everyone in charge over there is gd moron at this point.

1. 2 hotbars. By lvl 30 you will be feeling the pain.
2. 350k credits cap. This will prevent you from getting MANY of the legacy perk upgrades and will likely make the purchase of unlocks out of reach.
3. Lockboxes can't be aquired making the slicing crew skill useless and treasure hunting partially usless. Can't even accept them as quest rewards (link) which makes the credit grind for non-subscribers even worse.
I don't know I sort of hate them all. EA's plan is make players feel the pain all over if they don't want to feel it in their wallet.
The same.
The restrictions that made me do a double-take were the XP, UI and the mind-bogglingly contrived hide-helmet restriction.
You have to pay....to hide your helmet. *sigh*
I would have to agree with the OP. Those two annoy me the worst.
I'm still not sure if I'll come back with these restrictions as to be a subscriber, I want the things I wrote to them about to be addressed which is more around making the cities/world feel more alive like in GW2 (inluding day/night cycles and other environmental aesthetics) and making the game feel more social so that the fleet is not the center of everything.
I may subscribe for one month, not sure. I barely have time for GW2 and I'm still enjoying that game even if the mid levels feel barren sometimes.
There Is Always Hope!
of course the UI restrictions are the most hateful, its obvious why
if some1 knows ..... the f2p players can they get CC with any way? didnt read anything about it.
No. Cartel Coins are not obtainable in game in any form or fashion. (Unlike LOTRO or GW2). That's the bad news.
The good news is that EA is holding off on the unlock left hand turn so as not to have to make 3 consecutive right hand turns.
