I have a few questions for those in beta -

  • How big is the world?  This is Snail Games and they were involved with D&L which was HUGE!  Im hoping for some large land mass
  • Are there weather effects?
  • Is the world open without invis walls?
  • Are the zones set up where you funnel through loading points i.e. GW2?
Thanks for any info you can provide!!

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

World is very large. Not as big as say Vanguard's or WoW's... but massive enough to feel like a world. If I had to guess, I would say it's probably about 3/4 the size of Azeroth, maybe less. But it is absolutely gorgeous. As someone who has been to China, climbing the steps up the Shaolin Monastary and seeing the majestic giant red writing on the huge slabs of stone (just like in China!) is so majestic. The cities feel lively, it's a nice world.

    No weather effects.

Open world, but unfortunately there are 'zone walls'... when you go from one zone to the other there is an icon like in GW2 and some loading. But the nice thing is, there is only 1 instance of each zone, so you won't have a friend in the same zone you can't see because he is in City2 and you are in City1... I personally can't even play MMOs that do that it is so immersion breaking. Would be nice to not have those zone walls, but if you gotta have it... they did it the right way.

Funnel points... yep, same as GW2, but again, just 1 instance of each unlike GW2.

Game is great, just so unpolished. Trying to put a word on how I feel about it, and I think unpolished sums it up well. If this game had blizzard polish on it, it would be incredible. As it is now, it is still incredible but will turn a lot of people off. Others will get hooked despite all of its flaws and oddities.

I would agree with the above but the good thing is the game is in it's first western beta so it's all plish from here on in.

Good point, and if this was a true first beta, it would be a damn impressive one. The game basically being a port (language wise), there is certainly a lot of room for polish between now and release, and the meat of the game itseld works fine for the most part. Overall, a lot of pluses. Just a lot of oddities and things literally being.... lost in translation.
