So, I am on the fence about this game...so many people saying this and that with valid points on both sides, so this thread is not a continuation of those arguments...
The game is on sale for 15 bucks for the Black Friday masses and I decided to spork over the dough...
Why?
Because I like to hedge my bet....
For 15 dollas, I am taking a chance that this game will fix itself, and if not I am only out 15 bucks....
I can say that I have lost more on other games that I thought would be better...Ie...SWTOR and DCU online which I bought both right at start...I also own a copy of City of Heroes that isn't worth the paper its packaged in....
I paid more for Arma 2 to play DayZ, which is still a buggy, hacker filled mess...
I paid about the same for Minecraft back in beta and that was a well spent investment...
Also, I have thrown about the same amount of money on a couple of Kickstarter projects..
So, what I am saying, is that 15 bucks is about my threshold these days for throwing money at a game in hopes it gets better...
While War Z is not on sold ground right now, I feel safe with the money invested in fledgling game and c'mon, complainers, I know some of you paid more and got burned a lot more by other games like...
Zyson
Fallen Earth
Mortal Online
Darkfall
Oh, and who has two thumbs and paid full price for Final Fantasy XIV, this guy!

I am really tempted to buy this game. Fairly cheap which is nice. Ofc it is still in alpha I think but that is ok aslong as you can take a good objective look at it.
I like the concept so would basically be banking on them to have a solid release and then update with more and more content and fixes throughout its life.
Not sure what the main differences are between this and the upcoming standalone dayz.
*cough, cough emulator, cough*
Try it out, see what it is. If you like it, great, buy the real deal. If you think it's an awful, blatant cash grab, you're not out anything.
