Apparently there a whole shitstorm heading their way because they lie on their steam page 400 sqkm maps - nope 50 100 player servers - nope 50 Normal and hardcore mode - nope just normal Private and public servers - nope just public.
Then you have all the zynga like behaviour of copying dayz
Question to anyone that has played any of these zombie survival games - Is food essential?
I.E. if you don't find food and drink can you die?
Because to me, if you are making a survival game then that is kind of a huge chunk of the game, finding resources to stay alive. Sure you want weapons to procect yourself from the zombies and other hostile players but essentially without a base survival mechanism you could find a hole and live forever...hardly a survival game...

Quoted for glaringly obvious truth.
And again.
I really hate this, I want to respect steam but this is disgraceful.

I came close to dropping cash on this one, glad I didn't.

So do these games have that requirement?
DayZ does, I haven't played WarZ so I can't say if it does.
You have to have food and water. For awhile there you had to keep warm or you'd get sick, but they toned down that aspect.

Well, steam took it down, for the time being.

I think you should take a look at TotalBiscuit's 'review' of the game before you decide to buy it:

Valve removed it from Steam now.
They refund anyone who asks for it.
