I figured this much out. I hate when I get to the end of my character and have to have a party to play. this is why I vote for things such as schools within games that all me to be multifaceted. I played a game called Darkswords for a long time which had schools and as you gain exp you could enter them. The situation there was that you could enter schools that did fit you race or class or either, so you had the ability to have mage skill along with fighitng skill if you wanted, yet this wasn't as much of an advantage as it should have been. This game was an old 2 demensional game. It would be nice to see something like this in more games. Or per say I can mix whatever skills I want with "no fault " if I work up to them exp wise or in some way. All games I see now invite too much to playing one stable character type for a group. I dont see why having multiple abilities should be lessening my play in a normal setting.

This might come off as an attack on you personally but it isn't.
Why play a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplay Game, if you hate to group up? If you feel that you should be entitled to progress like others but with grouped interaction, then why not play a single player game, you can pause it, you can save it, you can play it at your own pace and enjoying every inch of content with out so much as ignoring someone running past you, to add to all of that you are given an amazing (most of the time) story to entertain you.
You see what my problem is, is that developers are attempting to offer up content to you solo gamers, which often unbalances the group content, more often than not it is more profitable to run solo content than bother with the time investment of grouped content. The emphasis on giving soloers a quick and easy ride is destroying community in MMOs.
Go and play Skyrim, or the Witcher - answer me this, what do you get from an MMO/?

You seem to have understood the OP's request better than I did. Care to put it into different words so I can get a better understanding of what the OP is asking for?

ok rereading the OP over and over again a few times, I believe I understand what the OP is asking for.
The OP is asking for a endgame system than replace traditional endgame raiding/heroics( aka basically how endgame in most themepark MMO turn into PvE Group focused)
replaced with an Alternate Advancement system, that functions as what most would consider "FACTION GRINDING" or Schools as the OP calls it. So think of it like Rift's Attunement system but instead of by elements
you progress down each category, with categories being things like:
*Magic
*Fighter (weapon)
*Race
*Crafting
*etc
correct me if I am wrong OP.

The Secret World does the skill thing, but it's not an end game mechanic, it's just how the skill system works.
I haven't gotten to the end game, but I think your choices are grouped PvE content, grouped PvP content, or continuing the solo centric questing to fill out the rest of your skills.

Ok that was the most confusing post ever from the op. Perhaps English is not his primary language?
What I think I read is he wanted a game that you character could have skills from each class? If so then I suggest to him that he tries rift as they have multiple souls you can mix and match from different classes.
Anybody else got any idea of what he meant?
I dont know how the OP feels but I also solo MMO's and for the most part my awnser is this: Show me a Single player RPG taht is both free and has a much content as a MMO.
Skyrim and witcher were great..but at 60 bucks a pop, ill stick with free MMOs than you very much. I dont mean to come across as broke as IM not..but free is much better than 2/day

I am not into F2P like you, but I am all for being able to Solo in an MMO too. I've said it before, but I love it when the opportunities for grouping are presented but not forced. I like when there is content that you can try to solo but will never be able to. If you want to group to complete it, do it. If you feel like being an adventurer who explores, or a crafter who travels and gathers then you can. But this forced group stuff just ruins the immersion for me. Now im spending my time in LFG menu's looking at peoples levels or stats. I used to discover areas just because I saw groups forming and decided to help them out. Saw awesome content in UO that way.
Or you could have patience and wait for them to come down in price like I do. But I DO understand what you mean. It's like I wait for movies to coem to Redbox rather then spend $9-12 at a theatre. Rather be disappointed for a dollar than 9 or more .
Hell...I think Skyrim has more content than a lot of so called MMO's these days lol. I'm still playing and enjoying it.
BTW...through Steam if anyone is interested in FPS (Although off topic, but on topic of cheap)...Spec Ops: The Line is pretty damn good...and it's multi-player for under $8.
