PoE controls and Xpadder

Hey!. So yeah like the title says... Has anyone tried the game using Xpadder? does it work fine with it?

I want to play this game but i dont play games taht depend on the mouse to navigate. I have 2 reasons why i reject these games that limit the gameplay to mouse clicks. 1) to me that is not gaming, thats wasting time clicking around getting bored and sleepy. and 2) My right hand gets a bit swollen around my thumb after a few minutes holding the mouse in the same position....even on mmos i only use mouse to spin camera and click items and inventory / loot. Before it started hurting i already despised the decision of developers being a bit lazy as to not adding WASD or even arrow key movement to their games.

Now before someone says ¨its an isometric ARPG like diablo so it doesnt need keys to move¨ stop! you dont know what your saying.... Perfect World has 2 ARPGS like diablo (Battle of the immortals and War of the immortals) and they the same as diablo and both have fully WASD support. Also Torchlight 1 had to add gamepad support for xbox (silly they didnt include it on pc either since it was already implemented)

Anyways, yeah i appretiate if anyone that tried Xpadder with PoE share some light here. I tried the game last night and its pretty nice, but i had to stop  playing 20 minutes later due to the controls and havent looked back.

    No chance...

You could get it to work by moving the cursor with the stick but it wouldn't be practical in any way. You need proper cursor control.

Movement isn't the only issue. You need the cursor to place things like totems and firestorms and to choose where to shield charge or where your whirling blades will land and to pick up loot, open chests, bash barrels, manage your inventory etc. etc. etc.. It's not possible.

If your hand is having issues then you should try to find some kind of ergonomic mouse or something like that.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

i guess i wouldnt mind using the mouse to activate things (just like in other mmos). But since on top of that i cant release the mouse at anytime because i have to move around to, thats my issue with it. It wouldnt be much of a problem if i could map some keys to move around. I dont mind aming with the mouse when pressing shift to attack in place. as long as i dont have to depend on the mouse to move as well.  Trying to keep my hand off the mouse when im not clicking things keeps it from hurting  too lol

EDIT: i got the logitech G500. and its pretty uncomfortable to my hand.... it feels backwards lol

Well if holding down the left mouse button is the issue just find a macro program or use your keyboards software to make the W key (or whatever key you want) function as a left mouse button. The mouse still controls your direction but it will reduce the strain on your index finger.

actually the strain is on my thumb and all around the thumb when holding the mouse in the same position for long. I cant map any key to the side buttons cos taht hurts a bit lol.... but thanks anyway, ill try any alternative. If nothing works i guess ill try to find an ergonomic mouse

I'd also suggest making a polite post about it on the official forums asking for the feature you want. They tend to listen if enough people on there agree with you. Just ask for bindable movement keys and stress the issue about your hand being in pain while playing.. make it sound like a sob story, not a rant or complaint, and they might accomodate you.
