Anyone play Minecraft?

Im surprised Minecraft isnt listed on this website or I missed it... Has anyone ever played it? It seems interesting from the videos ive been watching. If anyone has any reviews about it? Seems like a sandbox mmo to say the least, im just interested in finding a server with a good population which I havent so far... Seems like theres amillion servers with 10-100 people playing on it.

    Strictly speaking it's not really an MMORPG though, is it.  Minecraft only has a few people paarticipating on a server at any one time, whereas a true MMO has a hell of a lot more than that. The Oxford Dictionary describes an MMORPG thusly...

    Well that is false. If you do a quick search you can see some minecraft servers have a user capacity of up to 1000. A server called meepcraft has roughly 3-600 people playing on it which I was just able to find. Just wondering if anyone has any experience playing the game before I decide to jump on in.

    I play from time to time, even started working on my own server. :)

     

    Honestly, while Minecraft is fun and all, I can't live on simply punching blocks alone. I need some quality combat, and, let's face it, Minecraft could do better in this department.

     

    There is a server, however, I really like the sounds of, and though I never tried it, I used some of their plugins for my own server. It's called Massivecraft. If you're talking about Minecraft as an MMORPG, this is the closest incarnation I've seen yet. Really entertaining stuff. :)
