It's no longer on the game list and teh forums are missing. Inquiring minds want to know! Did CRS request it removed due to all the bad publicity....or did mmorpg.com get tired of all the drama!!!

I wonder if MMORPG closed them at the request of CRS or if MMORPG's staff just got tired of monitoring it. SimHQ closed the WW2OL forum several years ago because of constant bickering between the Stug's and OJ's of the WW2OL community.
Edit: you can still navigate back to threads that are saved in your browser's history and still reply to those threads.
You can still post in the old threads as well....
That's freakin' hilarious that they took it down. Though I doubt it was CRS because MMORPG and its forums are pretty much the only place they know where to sell the game.. then again..
Can't say I didn't see it coming, though. Arguments going in circles along with ad-hominem attacks and flame baiting.

Very strange indeed.
They could have a great and well populated game if only they made some good decisions and listened to what people here were saying. Lots of good things were written.
But no... They rather have a dead game.
Their pride has killed wwii online.
the endless rants killed it too. It wasnt a mmorpg in first place.FPS with rpg elements= no mmorpgs.
That is absolutely ridiculous.
Good question, it is very strange, this is supposed to be a place to discuss the games, surely the members of this site should decide which games they want to discuss. It seems sad that the developers get to decide if "their" game gets discussed.
I actually downloaded and tried the game based on the discussions here, wasn't my thing, but I only tried it due to the discussions.
The company held a fundraiser on indiegogo for an advertising campaign(which included ads on this site) only this January. What the heck was the point if they were just going to pull the game's entry...I'm glad I didn't get suckered in to that.
The forums had been here since around 2004. People had whined before on them about CRS and the game but it was no big deal. My guess is that fairly recent questions about something, maybe the unfavorable comparisons to other small indie studios/projects got one of them to pull the plug.
Anyway, the official game forums are closed to non-subscribers. They have a minimal presence on social networks and video sites like youtube. I'm not sure how they decided that further reducing their public profile was a good idea.
As Ben said, we went ahead and removed the listing and forums at the developer's request.
Locking this now.
