Fans of EVE Online and the PS3 MMOFPS Dust 514 have something big to look forward to this weekend. On a conference call with the CCP Development teams handling both games, we learned that Friday marks the day both games come even closer than ever before to sharing the same universe, the same systems, but more importantly... also the same story and lore. Live Events Producer, Arnar Hrafn Gylfason (CCP Zulu) talked to MMORPG.com and other outlets about the forthcoming massive Uprising event which kicks off this Friday across both EVE and Dust and won’t stop until a winner is decided.

they seriously shot themselves in the foot with the whole PS3 only fiasco. now they besically limited themselves to a very marginal connection between the 2 games.
Dust should have been THE "out of ship" part of EvE that so many people want. the "beam me down Scotty" part EvE is sorely missing. Instead it's just a very mediocre fps with a huge grind that is loosely attached to EvE.
they could have done soooo much cool stuff with this, like foot assaults on player owned stations, production installations, even "raid like" assults on NPC strongholds, just so much stuff....
most PS3 players don't give a crap about EvE and the majority of EvE player just dont have a PS3. They could still save it....they could still release Dust for PC....there is still a chance....
Has anyone officially stated this is not a possibility in future?
Stuff doesn't just happen and this is the first step. And I hope their long term vision goes the way you described. Looking at it from their perspective it would make a lot of sense since EvE is quite a successful game.
Unless there's a "new EvE" in the making.
tried it on a friends PS3.....I do not own one but if I did and I wanted to play a shooter; I would have many better alternatives then this one tbh.

I here this a lot and believe it without a doubt. Between BattleField and CoD most online shooters fail :P. The sad part is these two haven't done much lately either IMO.
But, as others said I don't see why they said playstation exclusive. I see why sony pushed for it SOE could have pushed for PC support. I mean they could have ditched planetside 2 and made dust co-operatively.
