New controller
I got a new Logitech F310 controller, I set it up to use with defiance. Iv played alot of games with controllers on the PC so it shouldnt be a difficult transition never with an mmo though. Is anyone else using a controller for the PC, how does everyone think it will work with defiance?

Defiance has full controller support. It works as you'd expect.

I'll try not to be overly mean, but there is a DEFIANCE review published today on the main page of this website, RIGHT NOW. It tells you specifically that the game is designed for the console and controller in mind. I mean, do people really have no interest in doing any amount of research before posting? AGGHGHHH!!!
If the review wasn't posted today and on the front page of this very website, then I'd humor you and understand that you just didn't find the information. However, it's available right in front of your own face.
Erm.. calm down? Not everyone has time to check every page on every news site every second of every day. Sometimes it just doesn't even cross people's minds. Way to jump the gun...

my question wasnt if its supported I know all about defiance and there controller support, I watched the hour long video by the developers. My question was how does everyone think the game is going to work with a controller on the pc compared to the pc players who use a keyboard and mouse.
Iv got to play an hour or so with the controller now though and it really rocks with it! Id be pissed if I didnt have a nice controller to play the game with cause it really takes advantage of a controller.
I've played with a controller in PvP situations, during arkfalls, doing the group missions and during normal questing. I did well in PvP.. as in I don't think the controller left me at a disadvantage. No ones ever commented about my performance in the missions. Just make sure aim assist is on when using a controller and you should be golden.
I'm not sure if I'll be buying this game yet but if I do I will definately play with a controller. Someone who is used to using a controller won't be at a disadvantage from my experience.
I just got done playing with a controller for a few hours, it works really well so far, I had some trouble with a boss battle with me and my friend in a group but we finished it. I didnt see any options while I was looking through all the controls about the auto aim thing.
What I ment about setting it up was I hadnt actually used the controller, it was new so I installed the drivers and used logitechs software to set up the controller.
I don't have the game intalled anymore otherwise I'd tell you where the option is.
They might have moved it recently, or removed it, who knows??
It was definately there though. I definately remember trying it out with the aim assist and trying it without it for a number of hours each.
