VIP Packages for the NA Version

GormokGormok Member Posts: 379

For those that interested in this type of thing. I played the TW version and thinking of getting one of these, I never get these packages in f2p games because I feel that they do not be worth it. But after spending 2 days playing on the TW servers, I think it may be well worth it. There are VIP packages for the EU version as well.

trying to find more info on this game before i'd consider it.

I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg

Same here. DP looks very interesting, but I'm not gonna spend money on an upcoming MMORPG again till I know what I'm paying for. So far the last couple of years every MMORPG I thought would be fun ended up to be a complete failure (for me). Don't expect DP to be one of those, but well, not gonna risk it...

Im considering also, but even through all the videos ive seen nothing really grabs me.

For some reason I got it into my head "what would this game be like if there werent any dragons?" and im left with an extremely underwhelming feeling. I know its a key part of the game, and a major part at that, I just think the way theyre being used in the game may make the fact that they exist a bit uneventful. In other words, im expecting the originality of the dragons to wear off pretty quick.

I wish I had more detail on the different types of dragon builds and varieties, maybe situations where you use dragons that is significantly different than other MMO's it may convince me. As it stands now, im gonna stay on the fence.

EU are doing this too, can be found here: http://www.dragonspropheteurope.com/en/founder

However, if you take the SOE one you get Station Cash which is the same value as the actual pack, so if ya play Sony games its a win-win scenario really.  However, afaik the EU version gives you diamonds at the same value as the pack, which I think is their currency for the game.  I guess the choice is really yours.  Personally I went with Sony as I like the fact that they have sales on Station Cash now and then and you can use it in more than one game.

after watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDBEyI0T95A decided to go for a pack.. really interested in how the dragon skill system intertwines with the 4 classes. Like that you can basically play any role depending what dragons you have trained.

Wow, cool video.  Thanks for posting that.  I'm really tempted to buy a pack as well.  Not only do you get the SC, but it comes with a ton of stuff.

I'm not sure how this one flew under my radar.  I've heard almost nothing about it.

Their housing system looks great and the attention to detail is really good as well.  I'm curious if I have to fight and war for my housing plot and if that means I also have to defend it once I do have it.

yea i figure if i don't like the game at least i have the SC to use towards other games

Very nice find this one. I've watched a couple of gameplay videos and read the EU site (that one surely gives more info than SOE does) and decided to buy the $40 package. This video just prooved once more that I've made the right decision by buying ;-)

I feel the same way, I kinda look at trailers for games the same way as movie trailers. They often put every good thing possible in the video and the rest of the content may be crap. I look forward to giving it a try, but I'm not paying anything for a game with almost no third party observation at least. I summon Angry Joe!

My buddy bought us both 90$ packs! I r spoiled! I for one am super excited about this game! The combat would be my biggest gripe. It's pretty standard but that wont keep me from loving it. The pet system is really what I am here for. I play a ton of ARPG browser games like crystal saga and they have the most fun pet merging systems and I am very excited to see something similar brought into a bigger scale mmorpg. Especially since I can fly these bad boys! Also, Housing at launch=win. How could I not want the largest house.....drool...

I keep forgetting my password for my SOE accounts because of the cursed special character... That alone makes me want to opt out of playing.
