I just hate people who say EVE Online is boring!

Yeah i've quit it and i played it for a very long time, my longest mmorpg ever! Sure you can't play the game all the time but thats like anyother mmorpg!
Tbh you'll get bored of any mmorpg because they are very linear and nout all to do tbh but level :P I don't agree that a game should be about leveling to the end content and then get bored.
I wish mmorpgs would take the leveling out because whats the point tbh? You should be focusing on fun and not grinding your xp *yawns* I wish i never wasted that 8 hours or so grinding on EQ2, was no fun at all.
Quests are just tools to get you to the end content and just dressed up grinding to waste your time.
If you take EVE hows this boring?
- Ganking people
- Scamming people
- 200 people PVP wars
- Having a laugh with your mates
- Changing the game through you power! Thats right the game is controlled by the big corps
If you get bored i sugest you don't mine then and explore the game :S There are other things to do like:
- Train the skills as you need them
- Train learning skills
- gank
- scam
- craft
- trade routes
- mine
- Agent missions
- Use your imagination to make money!
- Convoys
- Etc etc
Fact is you wont get anywhere in EVE without a corp.
Also if your bored then why don't you create sumthing? EVE is a game that has no limits apart from your mind! The freedom lets you do w/e you want.

EDIT: OKAY FINE! I'll add something to this post.
A couple of reasons why EVE ONLINE is boring.
1. Warping <Set location- you have 14 more warps to go- an hour later - you have 15 more warps to go- DOH!>
2. Training <HELLO you don't even have to play the game to level up. What kind of crap is that>
3. just about the rest of the game <okay so I can't really think of any more examples>
Plus Eve may not have grinding levels but it does have grind.
You grind for money or you grind for your corp mining.

I don't understand this EVE fanboyism/hatingism.
It's a particularly boring space MMO, very well made, very nice graphics, but it wasn't for me, I'll keep my Elves, thank you very much.

I bet these who say eve is boring never pvped in eve. I have pvped in lot of mmorpgs and nothing have came close how exciting pvp is in eve and its mostly because in eve when you lose you lose your ship and in worst case your life pod instead spawning to some spawn point with all your items and lose nothing. Carebears hate eve, because of the pvp and they dont want to take any risks.

And the funny part in these topics, are the people that are bored of Eve discussions -which still reply to every Eve discussion. If you do not like the discussions anymore , than dammit just do not throw anymore fuel on the fire

Just because one person enjoys a game doesn't mean everyone will.
EVE online is *boring* in the opinion of MOST people I've met who have tried it.
And, if you ask just about anyone who's tried it and didn't like it they will ALL say they found it "boring".
Get OVER it. The game is *boring* to a VERY large segment of the MMORPG 'market'. This, my friend, is why EVE only holds 0.7% of the market.

Yes, I thought EVE Online was boring. But I can respect that people enjoy EVE, I see how they can like it. What I don't enjoy is that EVE fans keep telling non-EVE players that we don't "think" in our games (whilst in reality, Scaramoosh, you're not really an example of a highly intellectually stimulating person yourself - no offense), some even go as far as to say we're idiots - and act elitist.
I don't see the problem. People is entitled to have a meaning. As long as they don't b**** about it all the time. You can't post thread even though it's about inflation in the Middle East without having some EvE fanboi come post "Why care about the middle east when you can EvE? Goto blah blah blah....."
We get the picture. You like EvE. Keep your talk about EvE on relevant threads.
Me opinion about EvE.
Has a lot of features, neat graphics, lots of depth with your ship and chr. But one thing that just ruined it for me.
THE GODDAMN TRAVELLING!
80% of the time I used playing was actually spend on travelling. But hey. It's good for some people. I actually did the dishes, some homework and took a bath while travelling. I'm serious!!
Anyways. If you're very engaged, and have a lot of duties in a corp, it's shouldn't be that bad.

PS: Sidebuster, all I can say is. I hope I never make a post to gain your attention. If someone got on me, as bad as you just got on the opener. I'd probably never post again on this forum. It was a knock out after the first couple of responses. You just kept kicking him while he was down, and then proceeded to shoot his dog, and raid his fridge. Two Thumbs up.

Cant we all just agree that EVE is fun for some and boring to others? Some people find the game fun and thats great and ok so more people find the game boring then fun but that doesnt mean that everyone finds it boring. EVE is not a game that i would normally look at and be like "oh that looks like a lot of fun" and with all the crap on these post about it being sooo boring if it wasnt for the 14 day trial i would have never tired it. I took the time to download the trial and got into the game. Yeah the game starts off really slow and has about an hour of tutorial and is really kind of overwhelming to start, but i still gave it the chance and i am having a fun time playing it. I still realize that more people find it boring but the constant posts of eve is fun not boring and eve is the most boing game ever is not all that necissary. Cant we just leave it at some people find it fun some people find it boring?
And stop posting the word fanboy that word is anoying...what the hell is a fanboy anyway?
