Weapon Skill Explained

Hey what's up guys, 

I wanted to explain in this video what i know about weapon skills, bonus that i help will help fellow players and new ones that are just starting to play Defiance. Weapon skill is when you use a weapon to kill a enemy and gain skill in that weapon. As you earn skill points you're weapon skills with that type of weapon will increase and you'll unlock bonus for that weapon. I hope you enjoy this video.

    Thanks DMKano, i had just played the 101 map today, was so much fun! I had no idea it was in pvp either, ill be sure to put that in the video. Thanks for checking it out and for the feedback.

    Great video.

     

    Nowadays I end up buying weapons in pairs, if possible, one to level and one ready to go.  It's not very obvious when you max out a weapon, so you have to keep an eye on the stats.  
     
    Does anybody know if mods, impact on weapon leveling at all?  As in speed at which weapon XP is gained. I have been leaving mods for the time being until I get some rare weapons that I like.  Just building up my supply of ark salvage in readiness for a weapon mod blitz a bit later on.  But if mods improve the speed you gain weapon XP I might play about with it.

    This is what i do.  When i see a weapon i like i buy two or three of them, then fast travel to the mod vendor, put the good mods in and keep them handy.

     

    Usually before an arkfall ill swap in a fresh weapon even if my other isnt maxed out.  If i do max them out and it gives a good bonus on the gun ill hide it on a load out for future use when i need a good weapon, otherwise i salvage for ark tech currency.

     

    Thos whole system is great for a game like this, im always shopping and keeping an eye out for weapons that interest me and i use several types regularly.

    They really need to make the tutorial more about in game systems like this and less about how to shoot imo.
