Personally I don't feel Disney is destroying Star Wars. For me that already happened prior to them aquiring it lol.
saddest thing is the dance part is the best part of the game
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg
Look, Disney has made lots of great IP based movies in the last 20 years. Marvel movies and Pirates of the Caribbean just to name a few. Besides how could they possibly damage the Star Wars IP any more than Lucus Arts has already? Lucas has been using SW as a Cash Cow for the last 20 years and thats it. It's about time he let someone with some actual creativity take over for a change.
Lucas Arts gave us Jar Jar Binks and a mopy, teenage Darth Vader. They turned accomplished, Academy Award winning actors into mannequins. I find it hard to believe that Disney will create worse movies than Lucas Arts.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
I can see where you are coming from. Disney has destroyed several things in the past, but they usually tend to be the small things, like TV shows (e.g. Gargoyles, Power Rangers, etc.) They tend to do better with the big things however, like Marvel.
Although, given that they disbanded all of Lucasarts, I think you might be onto something, but only for Star Wars video games, not Star Wars movies (I hope).

They plan on licensing out the IP to game development studios with actual talent... Something that has been totally absent from Lucas Arts for at least the last 10+ years or so. This could be the best thing that could possibly have happened for Star Wars gaming in a long time.
Considering the latest Monkey Island, made by TellTale, was better, imo, than the last one LucasArts did, I see no problem with giving lucas titles to external teams, as long as they are talented and can do a good job.
