Try disabling SLI and see if that helps.

I have no issues in DX11 with

    7870

    2500k @ 4.4

    16g DDR3 1600

    Samsung 830 Pro ssd

    win 7 64 bit.

It's DX11 - I turned down some settings, no help.

It happens alot less in DX9...FPS is 100+ in either mode, but jerks constantly and stutters...still happens in DX9 just less.

    Ugh.

Like someone said, try turn off SLI and see if it helps.

A lot of games have trouble with SLI and always have. That's why I never bothered investing that much money and go with SLI setups.

Too few games support it properly. My guess is just crappy SLI support in drivers itself.

Yeah run with SLI disabled for TSW and see how that goes. I had to disable crossfire to get great performance and have read others having problems with SLI.

On the plus side it does more with one card than I have seen any other current mmo do with multiple cards.

SLI shouldnt be an issue here mainly because . Try to force the fps to never go beyond 58. That solved it for me (sitting with a single 680 and had the same issues as the op). Or try this one http://forums.thesecretworld.com/showthread.php?t=69349
Eve online and +1500 steam games in the back cataloge makes me a stressed out gamer.

58FPS is unbearable though.(And wouldn't solve the issue)

DX9 runs ok, but it's not only me when I browsed the forums. Game Engine just sucks.

As for that thread, I've seen it, and doesn't really do anything one wouldn't have by default.

Ehh what?  You do know that monitors have a refresh rate of 60 Hz right? Which means that running more that 60 fps is basically just pointless. Unless you run a 3D monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is basically two split for 3D images.

Not to mention that the human eye can't actually register more than 30 fps.... everything above is not really noticable, unless you're some kind of superhuman.

This whole FPS discussion is just downright GFX marketing and conditioning... trying to convince people to buy a new GFX card every year.

I am pulling 150 fps on a i7 3770k 16 gb and gtx 670 no sly, but when I had my old AMD 8150 I was barely getting 50 fps on Direct x 11 on medium settings, now as I said on the 3770k chip on max settings I get about 80-150 fps alot smoother.

58fps is far from unbearable. I average maybe 38fps and don't have the stutters you are talking about and my system is pretty much a pos.

    On topic, try disabling SLI.

I'm running an ATI Radeon HD 6870/Phenom II X6 BE/8GB DDR3 RAM and get ~80fps in DX11 and no stuttering.

I have around 20 fps with this setup:

AMD Phenom II X6 3,4 Ghz

    8 GB DDR3 Ram

    nVidia Geforce 660 TI

Both in DX 9 and 11 makes no difference
