the f2p is nice but imo the game needs some serious overhaul in some areas

I mean after how square-enix resurrected final fantasy 14 i dont see any reason why SOE doesnt do the same with vanguard because sony has the money and even more experience in mmo development and man power.  And square did it right after they saw their title crash and burn after release while soe let vanguard suffer for so many years and still hasnt done anything nearly as square did with ff14 other than going f2p.  I mean soe wont even make a more appealing character creation and selection screen for this game.

They could.  It's a question of cost vs benefit.

If they haven't done it, then one can only assume that they do not believe that spending the money to do that would cause a significant enough net benefit, in other words they would spend money doing it and not have any increased revenue because of it.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is bad.

I think it could possibly happen.  SOE has been known to overhaul their games under certain circumstances.  Just take a look at how they've improved EQ and EQ2 compared to release.  The original Everquest doesn't even look like the same game anymore.  There's also that one other game that got a serious overhaul, but I forget the name.  You'll probably see some major improvements if the game starts making enough money.
