I'm surprised that most of you are bitching at free Internet pixels. Well I take that back. I'm not surprised, but instead disappointed, that you guys seem to be able to find a way to bitch about a sunny day. Sheesh. Lighten up.
I'm thankful for the pixels. The port scrolls will save time when I have to visit Knox again, and the exp boosts will be nice but not really needed. The leveling is fast enough as it is.
My wife is surprisingly super happy about her new kitty fashion cloak. I think I still hear her giggling as she logs in...
I'm not big on "digital bribes" a simple "we messed up" goes along way especially in today's MMO market.
You know what Suzie Q...This NeverWinter thing is turning out to be a hot @$$ mess....Caturday and I LOVE CATS!!!! LAWD!!!!! This is just too much...I can't.....

Well she won't be giggling when she finds out that to play the end game she has to fork out significant cash. This silly incident just precluded the issue of how horrible the cash shop is.

You may just be right Oz. FanBoyz never fail to amuse and amaze.

But then all the freeloader F2P players would whine, moan and complain that they didn't get anything for paying nothing, after all these games are designed around catering to the masses of whining non-paying customers while dumping on anyone that pays.
But seriously I agree with you, though if you want any type of integrity, support or concern from a developer you are better off with a subscription based game "find any" as F2P all draw in the lowest form of gamer.

You're so right about the f2p drawing the lowest forms of gamers. Those that never invest a cent and demand the most are the sort I refer to. Then tell the people that invested real money how stupid they are for doing so. They should go sub. based and clean house.

A lot of the bigger issues I've seen brought up with the whole Rollback is that Cryptic is refusing to handle anything lost as a result of the rollback. I'm not talking about levels or gear though, which can all be regained.
I mean things like the idiotic, shamefully-obvious login-incentive mechanic that is Celestial Coins that people lost as a result of the rollback, or the ever-so-popular lockbox mounts that people had lucked out and won during that time period, and Cryptic is now giving them the finger and telling them to "Buy some more" essentially if they want them back.
To them, this pack isn't exactly all that great. Not to mention that neck pieces and cloaks share the same slot, and the cost of "dressing' up an item can be rather prohibitive as you play. A cheap healthstone and character-bound XP boosts aren't all that impressive if you hit 60, and sacrificing much needed stats for a vanity item, instead of making the item its own slot or effect, isn't appealing to one as they level, specially considering the number of times they might replace said neck piece.

Yeah where do people get off expecting a game marketed as "Free to Play" to be, I dunno, free to play? This game isn't free.
this... MMO is not dead yet after this fail ah exploit?! strange... looks like there is really nothing else to play if people stick with fail sux MMO from PWE like this one

Pretty much, that's how it is right now with all these fail games that have come out in the past few months. We keep getting sucked into these "money pits" of a game, they like call "FREE-to PLAY Releases".
Sad, that the "compensation" for the trouble we ALL went thru, was not much of gift, considering its lack of usefulness, to anyone at lvl 60.

There are a few bright points on the horizon. Rift is becoming a f2p and sub if you want as of June. Black Desert and Archeage are both supposed to hit this year; and Elder Scrolls Online. One awesome thing about them (Rift for sure, because I play it) from the look of them is the worlds look massive. Can't be said about NW, where they've tried to keep you jumping from one instance, one dungeon to another so fast you won't notice. And the spawn rate is absurdly fast (usually) or nil in some instances. Quest continuity in NW at times was absolutely gone. Should have never went out of closed beta. Or sold anything for RL money. Too many forms of currency in game. Blah. It is different. It can be fun. It sort of was ruined by giving the impression that the most important thing to them was your money. And that it was slapped together with a few paper clips and duct tape so they could indeed take money as fast as they could. Shame it had/has so much potential.
