bought Final Fantasy XIV way back first came out

in Final Fantasy XIV
If i bought Final Fantasy XIV way back when it came out would i have to buy Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn  and  just pay a sub?

    nope, you should be able to download it for free using the launchpad of your bought 1.0 version. That's atleast what they promised some month ago, cause in Square Enix' point of view they admittedly screwed up and give the new one out for free for owners of the old version.

    You only need to buy 1 game per plataform, dont care if is old or new.

     

    But if you want to play in PS3 and PC with the same account, you have to buy a PS3 version and register it on your Square-Enix account, then you can play your character on PC and PS3

    If you bought the previous game on PC you don't need to buy it again.  If you want to play on the PS3 though you'll have to buy that.

    no, Beta is for people who applied on their website to try the beta. In July they will move to Open Beta and every one will be able to try it.

    I preordered the regular version for PC in 1.0 days.   I am a huge fan of SE, Yoshi-P and the devs for what they are trying to do with FFXIV:ARR.

     

    To support them, I bought a collector's edition of the PS3.  That was 90% of my reason for the CE edition, 10% was the cool stuff you get and you get some pretty amazing items in the CE, both in game and out of box.
