I heard about the game a few days ago, but i cant find any info what this game has to offer - which the other mmorpg's dont have ?
Why are people playing this? Anything that make it "speciel" ?

The most exploitative Cash Shop seen since the old Allods?
Pretty much the same old ARPG masquerading as a full MMORPG. The Foundry is probably the one and only bright point, but the Foundry Dungeons vary wildly in quality.
So, if you can turn a blind eye to the exploits and exploiters, and like playing a Diablo 3 variant with friends, then give it a whirl.
You can't find any information about Neverwinter probably because your internet searching skills are lacking, no other explanation there since the internet is packed with info about this game, you tube full of video clips and so on..
As for the game itself, it's not "special" in any way whatsoever, but it a fun game to play if you like D&D setting, dwelling in dungeons, some action oriented combat etc.
The game is free, anyone can check it out for themselves and make their mind weather they like it or not, it's not even too big in size to download so bottom line OP, unless you made this thread for some trolling fun, see for yourself what the game has to offer.
For me I am playing it because the quests have a DnD feel to them. Now in fairness I do turn off the chat box and the peoples names. I run the game as a solo play game that is crowded and only multi-play with my friends. However I do that in other MMOs as well. The real draw back to MMOs are dealing with the morons so I do not deal with them any more, I ignore everyone but my friends.
Right now I am really getting into the Helm's Hold area and story line. My character is a Cleric of Torm. When Helm was killed Torm assumed his mantle as his number two man. In Helms Hold the devil worshippers are attempting to desecrate the temples and areas dedicated to Helm. So my character, working as a agent of Torm is going out to deal with this threat
The Foundry for me and my group adds an amazing level as I, as an old GM, can bring old adventures back to life. With any player generated content you have to deal with the crap to find the good but I am happy to find a lot of really good material.

I have a soap box and I am not afraid to use it.
Agree. The fact you can make a thread in the Neverwinter sub-forum of Mmorpg but can't seem to read up or watch any of the vids posted here is questionable to say the least. Plus, as Vlacke mentioned...it's FREE. Try it yourself and see.
I beleave he asked "what this game has to offer - which the other mmorpg's dont have ?" so the answer is foundry prob... not sure since I played till lvl 20 and got boored ...
He/she also mentioned in the very first paragraph not being able to find any info on this game, which the foundry is most definitely talked about here, so I don't see how he/she could have missed it.
People like it. That is what is special, they like it - fine. I don't particularly find the game interesting but that is my opinion.
One needs to try it for themselves and see.
The only thing special about this game is The Foundry.Other than that it is competent in execution but in no way great.
The Foundry is only great though if your interested in actually using it to create content. If your only interested in playing content it's of less value. You will find some great player created content in there some of which is much better than the developer content but the majority of what you'll find on there is dross.
Yup, foundry is the only thing that makes it unique. Everything else is mediocre quality or just plain bad. Combat is give or take, some love it, some hate it.
Personally I'll give Neverwinter a decent twirl once they provide a decent selection of classes and paragons and if they ever allow Persistent Worlds. Which I think is retarded that they did not allow players access to create as that is the life n blood of the NWN longevity, it is NOT the modules but the PWs.
+1
Watch ChaosD1's review of it on MMOGrinder. That should give you all the information you need.
Since when is Tuesday a direction?
nothing.
Foundry, which Star Trek Online has and City of Heroes also had. I suppose if you want to throw in the original Neverwinter Nights and its sequel, because both of those games still have an audience...
The problem with the foundry is that you need people to make quality stuff. If those people leave, there goes a lot of your enjoyment....unless you just want to plow through mediocre foundry missions.
I think this game is for people who just want to sit back and play a nice, little combat/action game in a lite-D&D setting without having to really think. If you are looking for something with true depth, or even just a medium quality of depth, look elsewhere.
u r better off playing GW2 with action combat mod,(pretty much neverwinter combat) & gw2 gets more content really fast too
as for neverwinter, the foundry just wasnt good enuf to stick around for, the pve was repetitive/bland, the the pvp was way too gear based, with high rank enchantments being cash dependent & pay to win
hallo ~_~
To me the Foundry was/is a disapointment. Not only because of what you already posted, but also because of the limited posibilities and the bugs.
It pales to it's 2002 predecessor.
