    Would be funny if I get one. Just started playing Rift again to kill time until release.

    I think OB will be sometime mid to late july.

    Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

    Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

    I'm hoping to get in. I beta tested the original FFXIV and was able to play free when the game released but never actually purchased the box. Think there is any chance in me getting in? I saw it already enrolled me in this beta without me needing to do so.

    I MAY have received an email from SE tonight stating all people from Phase 1.0 will be in the next Beta on the 14th.

    Is everyone who had an account for the original supposed to get an invite? Because I haven't gotten one yet :(.

    Though, I'm also having issues with their new account system. It says I'm supposed to be able to log in with my old information but it won't let me. If I go to the old school account page I can login there and see my FFXIV info though. Don't get it... I might have to call support tomorrow.

    ah ok, still wish I could figure out this weird account thing. I need to take my Square-enix account and make it into a "members" account some how. According to their FAQ that should have happened automatically...

    You would think they would send out invites and download links so that we can be ready to go on the 14th.

     

    I'm really suprised that they havn't sent any emails out to 1.0 owners yet.

    From what I read it sounds like invites are supposed to go out today. People on reddit said not many got invites yet and you will know when they do by checking the FFXIV english forum. I checked the forum and it sounds like no body got invites yet and only some got a newsletter.

    Everyone who owned version 1.0 will be able to participate in beta phase 3.

    I got an email from square on Tues saying in part:

    "We welcome all players from Version 1.0 to download the beta client and see the myriad changes in FFXIV: ARR.

    * Additional information regarding how to participate in the beta test will be sent at a later date."

    I couldn't find any way to download the beta client, I assume a link for that will be coming with the "additional information" but now it is Thursday and I have yet to get any more information.

    Anyone know of a way to download the phase 3 client?

    All die, so die well.

    You need a Key to update the client anyways.

    So they are going to send out codes to all Ver 1 buyers? I figured they would simply enable all Ver. 1 service accounts. At least that is the way the quote above made it sound. all ver 1 players are welcome to download. Seems like all they would need to give out would be a download link, perhaps within a password protected portion of the website.

    They'll send you a link to the forum which has everything you will need.
