i am afraid of this title is going to be another TESO or even worse SWtoR  ... so far they just build hype around the universe, better shut up and show some videos, in game screens later ...

    oh boy,
do i have to write the same stuff again and again?
this isn’t an ordinary MMO, its planet side 2 with RPG elements in a wh40k setting
no grinding, no gold farming, no "bring 231 pigtails to the cookiemaker"
and why they announce it that early is because they want us to help them make the game!
yes, you can talk to the devs and make suggestions. they are the first to do it like this, accept it!
lets be happy that they do so and not flaming about hype

Having four factions is tricky, three is ideal. In this case lore has been put over gameplay. Daoc and PS2 show the gameplay value of three sides, can anyone think of a MMO/MMOFPS game that has four factions and works as well?

Funny, I have always come to this site to see what's new on the horizon just not the same old crap from games I don't care jack about. Hmm go fig, you guys hate hearing anything about new titles anymore other then those you worship and call it free advertisement. Here is a thought, go elsewhere. I appreciate any info on this title thnx.

As to the topic at hand, elder and all I hope are in , marines orcs etc, I do hope it's more then just a world base MMO and we actually have space situations.

there is a lot of very critical fleet stuff in the lore and possibly at bigger gaming conventions and while it would be awesome to see it in the game i doubt it.  eldar, even their special units, are weaker in melee than SM's, their troops like screaming banshees can fill a utility role with their power weapons but their ranged units like the reapers are much better against SMs combined with their vehicles, the avatar of khaine is an awesome model but cant really match a chaos or SM HQ 1v1 from my experience

On fleets and space, when I mentioned that aspect it was more like hulk invasions stuff like that, maybe our own drop ships or that sort of thing. Not a whole campaign in space (would be cool ) but the aspects Warhammer is best known for in this aspect.

it is a good idea - they are the 'Space Marines' after all because they fight out of the massive space ships, i believe in much of the printed stories, the space battles for example during the horus heresy were just as important as the planetary level ones

You do realise the budget for the game is finite right? That they don't have unlimited funds to cater for our every dream? :D

    >"The other thing having Eldar does for Eternal Crusade is open the doors for the other Xenos factions, namely Tau and Necrons. Both of these armies are very popular at the moment and would boost the faction list to six. That is a critical leap Eternal Crusade can make hopefully soon after launch (wishful thinking)."

I think this is a key point: Scalability of the game and the business model. Very prescient.

That is a very solid point. 3d printing along with 3d scanners will no doubt lead to a decline in their business.

In many ways the Eldar army is in many ways on par with space marines.  Their massively specialized units are in many ways on par or above Sms...the only issue most suffer is lack of bulky armor thus very little 3+ but make up fur that with weapon systems that can mow down Space marines...STAR CANNON is one of the most disgusting weapons out there, espcially with psychic power fortune. Eldars are a very fast agile and deadly army. They are not a stand off army like space marines. They are not a zerg army like Orcs. They excel at blitz hit and runs to thin the ranks before pushing for an all out attack and or objective capture....In this concept of 40k there is going to be alot of issues with Eldar if they are not coded right its just gonna be a huge flaw...But since they have mentioned Dreds for Sm...Does this mean Eldar will get theirs...If so Oh wow they will own.
