[Preview] EverQuest: Diving Into the Heart of Fear

We were privy to a tour from SOE this week, and today we break down Heart of Fear, the latest major content update to EverQuest, in our latest preview.

The meat of the Heart of Fear content is spread across three new zones and continues where the story left off in the previously released update, Shadow of Fear. While the deity Cazic-Thule may be dead, his power still lingers and this power is being sought out by monsters old and new in an attempt to replace Thule as the next god of fear.

I just starting playing EQ again about about 6 years away as a silver member.  I always hated how you couldnt solo but witht he mercs taht has changed.  Still a little frustrated as my gear is out of date and my AA count is to low to do much for my level.  I llok forward to EQN!

Yet, some people have predicted WoW closing in as little as a couple years...People are nuts.

Will always be my biggest MMO love even though I haven't played in close to three years.  Hard to believe this game is still releasing new content, granted the new expansions seem pretty tiny and lackluster compared to what they released even five years ago.  To me Secrets of Faydwer was the last really good expansion, and each expansion after that before I quit was progressively worse.  Still, I like to follow what they're doing.  An updated North ToV almost made me want to play again.
