Hi guys,
Anything planned in FF14 for any mini games? personally i reckon these are what sets FF games apart - im talking things like raising chocobos to race them or getting rich at the casino etc etc
or the card game from FF8?
Or the water soccer from FF 10?
Any of those sorts of things planned?

Golden Saucer, Chocobo Raising/Breeding, Housing/Gardening, Card game, fishing (fishing is a mini game in ARR it is not a gathering class any longer).

Fishing isn't a gathering class anymore!?
It was going to be my first max gathering class
. I just figured they felt it was good enough that's why it wasn't in beta. So I didn't look into it.
Oh man. I thought Fishing was a Gathering craft!
You can cook fish. I have 2 friends who are making there Gathering as a Fisherman.
Are you sure its not a gathering? I need some more info! Oh man!
Can you do all gathering skills on one char?
Yes, I had Miner and Botanist on one char.
why wouldn't it be a gathering skill? It is under the disciples of the hand which is with the other two gathering skills....

Reason given for fishing not being a gathering class is they were having to spend too much time trying to make it fun yet bot resistant that they just gave up and spent that time on other things.
In both FFXI and FFXIV 1.0 it was very common to see fisher bots.
