8:00 est, script stealing started. From there guild war. Our alliance 300 hundred strong tonight went to war the battle took place at two guild bases.
The enemy alliance decide to split their force and attack our base while lightly defending theirs. It caught us slightly off guard. Out guild left to defend our base while our allies attacked theirs. Our Allies defeated the enemies swiftly. We took their base. Bases take about 4 losses amongst other things to lose. This was their last chance.
Back at our base the battle was raging the base was burning and the stone lions were down. Once lions are down the throne spawns and can be capped.. Our set "fire" team went to work putting out fires while the front line force headed to the basement of the keep. We fortified our position in the thrown room. Shortly after the fight was on. The had no chance even though were outnumbered. We held for 15 minutes, then our allies showed up. With an hour left the war was essentially over. Let the world chat propaganda war begin.
Somewhere in all the back and forth, a member of the enemy alliance said something about escorting carts. That's where guild funds to repair, and to bid on war comes from. They shouldnt have let me hear that. Vy the time I arrived in Chengdu, to my surprise I saw a few allies preparing to smash the enemies carts. Little did I know just over the hill there were 40+ of the enemy.
More and more of us and them showed up. NOW the war was in the streets. When it was all said and done 2 hours later we had smashed dozens of carts and even more people. We were not without casualties, but the monetary damage we cause had not been seen on this scale.
As I type this the war is still raging in the Chengdu city streets. It's hard for me to show the scale and distance this war covered, but imagine from northern tip of the eastern kingdoms, all the way to bootybay. Ranging from guild bases as large as Ironforge, to the country side, to cities three times as large as Divinities reach.
This is sandbox PvP ladies and gents. Wild and unpredictable. You can keep you battlegrounds and PvP areas. I don't want it.

Hey now BC, you know that "guild wars" are pretty much instance battlegrounds with population caps. The objectives and base layouts are the same no matter where the guild war is fought.
That being said, the cart escorting/raiding can be fun and unpredictable. My guild learned quickly to stack 3-4 carts on the same route during special escorts and always had a train with patrolling groups during regular escorts making any attack on us futile.

Well once the war starts, the open world keep becomes blocked to those not allied to either side.
Im sure I've smashed a few of your carts

Bc - I'd like to try this game but havnt researched it hardly at all. Some questions?
How long does it take a casual player to start having fun?
Is it b2p, f2p, p2w, p2p or other?
Compared to Darkfall and Firefall(yin an yang to some extent imo) how would you rate this game for people New to sandbox's?

PM before you report at least or you could just block.
No1 compared it to guild wars the game, they were talking about wars between guilds if im not mistaken.
Daily business in EvE with even bigger numbers and more intrigues since 2003.
Oh, and EvE is really open world FFA PvP where everyone can join the battle and not just opposing factions/guilds/etc. Also... playerlooting and real destruction makes the PvP in EvE so much more worth it.
If AoW wouldn't be F2P it might actually be worth a second look, but that boat has sailed. PvP with a F2P+cashshop business-model is essentially nothing else than P2W.
It's spaceships though...
It's spaceships though...
I couldn't care less about that.
as a game some parts of it has been nailed.
I started playing during the CB and through to release, but was dissapointed at the lack of support the players get,
The game itself has elements of p2w, but nothing you can't handle if you dont indulge in cash shop, conveniences to get A>Z quicker rather than only available in cash shop
However, the deal breaker for me with this game was 2 fold
1 Localisation was bad, very bad at times, trying to decipher what was being asked you had / have to take lessons in pidgeon english, other languages i cannot comment (nor be sure they even have other language support)
2 The worst thing for an open PvP lag, if your a european player you didn't really stand a chance, with ping times of between 300 {good day} upto 1500ms {bad but 30% of time day} having someone come up behind by time you felt the 'hit' he had server side already killed you
Now whether both have been sorted i cannot comment, games get 1 chance this game i gave 3 CB > OB > Release and not once were some of the basics sorted. So boat sailed for me.
However, as its free 2 play download it, play it, you might find my problems wont disrupt your game play, but one big thing, this game is no-way open world / sandbox there are way too many do's / don't & Can't go here places that stop it being both
Overall i would put the game in the bracket of "good, but could of been soo much better" as i said why not try it, no purchase cost and no start up cost, dont take what other people have to say
This post is all my opinion, but I welcome debate on anything i have put, however, personal slander / name calling belongs in game where of course you're welcome to call me names im often found lounging about in EvE online.
