We're not sure if the camera used was even the character's one I think.
In a lot of footage the camera doesn't move when the character does.
I hope for a 1-st person view with scroll to 3rd person. It's so much more immersive ~
I love 1st person, but the other views in EQ1 are useful if you get blocked by the terrain, even the overhead view. The follow cam is my favorite for screen shots.

This is something I think the combat style may influence in a negative way. Just about every MMO I've played with combat like this was strictly third person. GW2 and NW being two examples. I'm thinking about skills like the whirling tank skill and how would that work in FP view? I hate those types of attacks BTW...

EQ, EQ2, Vanguard, and probably others all seem to have a first person rendering option. I'm not sure if EQ2/Vanguard had it at release though.
