Got a few questions

ZiakahZiakah Member Posts: 5

If I pre-order I get early access. The release date is 27th, so when does the early access begin ?

I read somewhere that you can be any class you want to be, just equip a different weapon and start skilling up, is that right ? So if I create a healer character I can just change weapon and suddenly im a tank/dps ?

It says its cross-platform game from pc and ps3, does that mean ps3 player can play with pc players ?

Thanks in Advance, Ziakah.

    1) Not sure about the whole preordering business. Sorry.

    2) You pick a class at start. You wont be able to change your class till 10 if I remember correct (I had a legacy character in beta). At 10 after doing the story quest. You'll then be able to visit other class trainers pick up a small quest and upon finishing have the ability to switch to that class. Each class has its own mini quest to unlock it. Class and Jobs are different though. Yes class changing is handled by switching weapons. Have to be out of combat to do it though.

    3) Yep PC and PS3 players are on same servers.

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

Early Access starts on the 20th

PS3 and PC players WILL be playing on the same servers.

Job/Class System works like this: weapon dictates what class you are, Conjurer, Gladiator, Archer ect. Once you level one to 30 and the corresponding class to 15 you can unlock it's Job ie White Mage, Black Mage, Warrior, Bard.

Do a google search and you can find the combo's for specific Jobs.

Classes are for solo play since you can equip skills from other classes while being another class, for example If you are soloing as an archer and have leveled Conjurer some you equip skills such as Cure and Stoneskin too make soloing a bit more interesting.

Jobs are for Party play since they are more specialized in their roles and their skills are exclusive to their Job.

You can switch to any class/job at any time just equip different weapons/job stones.

Great system no need for alts, and long term goals to 100% on one character.

Yes but you have to be able to actually get the weapon you need to change class. There is a section in each starting city where you can buy stuff,i can't remember if every starting weapon was available from npc's or not.If not you would need another city to buy one or just try the auction house boards that are also in the same area.

I believe early access is still 24th.

Just like most games,if you are actually in the city of the class you want, there are some quests to do that will give you some gear.I found a lot of gear was interchangeable with basic stats for a few classes.

Conjurer would be your healer class but if yo uattain level 30 and level 15 in another specific class yo ucan become a White mage Job.

Difference from class><job are that Job's do not use mix and match classes. If you stick as a class you can add sub classes.it is much more restrictive than FFXI sort odf closer to what EQNext is doing.About every 10 levels in your main class,yo ucan pick a spell/ability from an y sub class you leveled up.

Yes all can play together.but last i heard there was a problem with Xbox policies, not sure if the game will even be on xbox and if it is,they might not be able to interact with others.
