LF a 'single player' MMORPG

Hi all!

Firstly, apologies that the title might be a bit confusing, I couldn't think of a better way to describe what I'm after!

When I was younger I played RuneScape a lot, and whilst I have no desire to go back, I loved it back then. The main reason was the fact that you could do almost anything in game alone, but the MMO side of it meant you could still socialise/make friends. I maxed a character in WoW but was really put off by the fact that you pretty much have to be raiding to get the best gear, and my work hours are often unpredictable so I can't commit to things like that.

So to summarise; I'm after a game which loses as little as possible by being played alone, but still offers the chance to socialise. Of course a game with a lot to explore wins extra points! I use a MacBook Air which obviously rules out the graphically intense games, but it ran WoW OK so that sort of graphics level should be fine.

Thanks so much for the help,

Rob

Try Path of Exile, only mmorpg I've really enjoyed for the last few years. Everything is solo-able, yet some boss-battles are easier with a few other people.

    Guild Wars 2

You don't even need to party to do "quests" since everyone gets their share of loot/exp from any monster they hit.
