forums vs ingame (attitude towards ffxiv)

in Final Fantasy XIV

these forums seem to have only people that dislike the game ,in game however its a huge success, the sheer amount of people playing is amazing, and there is still many more to come once servers are fixed, so why do peeps say this game is shit and a grind, sounds like half haven't played game or don't realise there is more then one way to level up, ove had no problems, 35 dragoon 15 pug,15 mrd,15 archer,15 alc...

    That's how we handle MMO releases around here. The hate is always strong on MMORPG.com. Shouldn't be new to you.

    I'd add, no MMO forum does. People who enjoy a game play it, people who don't, spend their time screaming abuse at it.

    It's just that FFXIV: ARR has bad server issues, we didn't say anything about how bad the actual game was once you're playing it.

    Unfortunately, this forum is being used as a sounding board for people to vent frustration. It's a lot easier to come in and bitch out of proportion, than it is to come here and try to create a positive post. Especially right now with SE in the midst of trying to salvage a problematic launch.

    To play devil's advocate here.

    In game chat does not reflect a balanced view of the game either or the opinion of everyone in the game and certainly not the gamin communities opinion as a whole.Especially int he first few days of launch.

    My advice is if your enjoying the game don't bother with other people's opinions of it in either case.

    The only reason anyone hates the game is they can't get on, the only reason anyone is on here and not playing the game is they can't get on! When I'm on this site I'm sending voodoo curses to se but once I Finaly get in all is forgotten in about 10 seconds and I love them again

    People on forums are just mad because they can't get in.  Once they're in, they're like yay, this game is the most epicnest thing ever thought of.  Typical 13 year old kneejerk reactions lol.  I lost count how many times I've said it, but people just need to chill.  The game's not even been out a week.  Evidently they've never been part of an MMO release before or something lol.  This release has been one of the better ones...

     

    Edit: And if you want everything now, this game isn't for you anyways.  This isn't the normal instant gratification other MMOs have been for the last 10 years.  It takes 30 levels just to get your job :)
