While I would recommend the game to anyone who loves traditional MMO's, I don't think I'd recommend anyone do so this week. You're only likely to experience frustration unless you have early morning/late late nights available until early next week.
I don't even try to log on until about 1am EST, for instance. BUT...like I said, I'd recommend it to anyone who likes trad MMO's. Don't read me wrong, because I absolutely love this game! But better to wait than have a frustrated customer imo.
Yeah i know, but i work night shifts are a security so i can play from work and i dont mind waiting in queue. I waited for soooo long for a good mmo to start playing again. Anyway im off to sleep for few hours then off to work.
This game is so amazing on the early access weekend i called in vacation for this week, i get up and play all day, log in no problem until this morning i was queued so no way i'm logging out if i need to do anything. Since i can play all day i try to log in at night and yea, forget it, not upset since i already played well over 10 hours daily, just get to bed early, get up and play all day again.
There are people whom never log out, they just stand there all day, lol. At least i log out when i'm done. I have to say though after the launch yesterday it's just crazy the amount of people on right now. I LOVE IT!
This is a launch to remember, so glad i didn't miss this.
Yah, it really has been one to remember. Two weeks from now no one will care about the errors, and two years from now we'll be telling war stories. "Yah, you youngins have it so easy. Back in MY day we had to fight bahamut just to -get- an Error 90000, and only THEN could we try to log on to our characters. Why, you have no idea how good you have it..."
I log out when I'm done too. I guess my mother raised me right or something...or maybe I'm just too old lol. I just barely got to play during OB, but that was enough to tell me I wanted in on this one. Haven't regretted it a bit, even with shortened nights and maintenances. I think the game has a solid developer team on it, and a definite vision in mind -- and that means everything to me. (No cash shop helps too, though!)

So where do I go to with this code? It's a 20 character code and the SQUARE ENIX account management page only lets me enter some other formatted codes.
If you bought the code from gamesrocket, go to http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/395130/download-link-for-game-client.html and download the patcher, start the game and there you can log in and enter the code you got, that is what i did. Few more hours and i will be playing

Didn't realize I had to activate through the launcher.
NP, and you can also activate the game on site, but you need to go on square enix account site....dont ask lol it is confusing i know but the easy way is to do it in launcher
Dang you young'ins get off my que, always causing 1017 errors and the like. Back in my day, we didn't even get server lists.
