question: classes and leveling

in Final Fantasy XIV

If I choose to play a Conjurer, and I figure out its more fun to play an Arcanist. Can I level that character as an Arcanist further? SO go beond the level of Conjurer? (in effect switch my main class?) I did read I could choose more classes when I am level 10+ (15 including traveling).

 

And the familiar ability of the Arcanist, can it be used by other classes?

    Yes you can continue to level the second class beyond what you started as, it will take your highest level class and make that your 'base' class. You can pick up every class I believe, including crafting ones.

    I can't tell you exactly which abilities you will get to cross class but normally it's ones that have some form of CC/Defense over damage abilities that do the same as the class you're playing.
