That's the way it usually is in MMOs in my experience. PvE players spend more time in game playing than on the forums while PvP players spend more time complaining on forums than playing. It only makes sense. Forum posting is a type of PvP. It's anonymous, confrontational, and often turns into a battleground of poster vs poster. Guess who's more attracted to that?
I think this may be the first time I've actually seen a developer give a concrete number as far as PvE vs PvP population. It would be awesome to see other games let us know those numbers as well. And then to actually commit the development team based on that data? Wow, I think that's great.

The thing is, the developers of Darkfall and Mortal Online didn't have the money that Red 5 has had. Red 5 has wasted millions upon millions.
They remove jetball partly due to it requiring skill. Man these guys are dumb. You want esport, yet a no skill needed esport. Can't wait to see what joke of a system they put in that reuires no skill.

The worst part is theyre charging people for things, and then still calling it a beta. Much like PVP, they need to remove the selling of things until they deliver a complete product. If they need money they should ask for investments.
As for PVP, the action style had potential. Its fun to jet around and shoot stuff. Theres just nothing to actualy do.
Firefall is a PvE game. They do a great job removing unused and useless minior features (PvP) and making all the work to release better core features, all the PvE of the game: invasions, Chosen attacks, repulsing melding , ARES missions.

I thought this was a pvp game? I played the beta for a night early last year I think, and pvp was all it was.
PvP hasn't been an important part of the game in over a year and it hasn't been a pvp game in 2 years now ? It was the right thing to do. They are a 20 person dev team....you can't split your focus into two games and still make an mmo with a team that small.

Stupid as all hell not to develop FireFall with Open World PvP in mind from the start.
Could've been great, but then again most devs don't have a good and thought-out vision for their games.

Youre just perpetuating their deception. They are selling in game items and services. Its open to the public. Thus its not beta.

This game feels like its in open alpha, except they still are happy to take your money. The amount of unfinished systems is pretty surprising.
I like the game a lot but it gets redundant doing the same things over again on multiple frames.
