Greetings, mortal . . .
Today during the barely controlled chaos of BlizzCon we uncloaked Heroes of the Storm, our free-to-play team brawler that smashes together the might of Warcraft, the grit of StarCraft, and the fury of Diablo into a unique Blizzard gaming experience.
Read on for a quick overview, and be sure to refer your readers to www.heroesofthestorm.com for a closer look . . . and to sign up for the beta test!
Blade Queens, and Lich Kings, and Terror Lords Oh My!
Heroes of the Storm draws from more than 20 years of Blizzard gaming history, with instantly recognizable characters, like Kerrigan, Raynor, Thrall, Arthas, and Diablo, who enter battle with built-in grudges and room in their hearts for the fires of new rivalries to grow.
Together Everyone Achieves More Epicness
In Heroes of the Storm, players are distinguished through the accomplishments and overall success of their team. Every role is valuable and viable over the course of each match, and every player benefits from each hero takedown and each epic victory they contribute to.
Variety Is the Spice of Fun
Whether players are battling for supremacy, bragging rights, or just the hell of it, the battlegrounds in Heroes of the Storm mix up the experience with a variety of maps and unlockable advantages—including powerful allies, friendly towns, and valuable vantage points—that offer multiple paths to victory and reward teamwork, strategy, and creativity.

All spelling and typographical errors are based soely on the fact that i just dont care. If you must point out my lack of atention to detail, please do it with a smile.
There is a sneak peak to gameplay here.
They said whole lot of things that maps gonna have... Like some pirate and his ship that will shoot the enemy and some demon blessing thing. So I think they gonna innovate some at least. Will see will the map differ that much.
Ehmm.... did you guys even bother to check the official website?
It has a gameplay video right on the FrontPage lol!
Last thing we need is another half baked MOBA. I really doubt Blizzard can come up with anything competitive in this
genre.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
The majority of the time that I read your posts, I shake my head as I hold my face in my palm. This time is no different, so I do thank you for the the consistency. I am assuming that you've only watched this cinematic trailer and nothing else, let alone read anything, so I can not really fault you.
It does not appear to be "half baked" as you put it, it actually appears to be - from the limited information we have - an evolution of the genre. Combining PvE objectives with PvP objectives is really cool. I've always wished that LoL would come out with a PvE orientation to their game that involves team objectives.

One could be called finite, the other infinite.

Lol, u mean those 120k viewers means it's dead game ?
http://www.twitch.tv/wcs
+ blizzard stream, +korean streams, + tv viewers .Also other gaming communitties can only be jeallous of how passionate sc2 followers are... btw sc2 going somewhat f2p (arcade + customs f2p, which meansyou need to buy the game only for campaign and ladder play).
Because it's Blizzard. They have enough of a customer base to not have to worry about lack of playerbase and they are solid enough developer to make a polished product. Yes, they aren't the most innovative company out there and, from my point of view, they did make some mistakes here and there, but you can't deny they put a lot of care and attention into their games.
When Hearthstone was first announced a lot of people asked "Why?" as well. There was a lot of moaning they are wasting time on a cash grab that will be terrible and never be MTG. Thing is, it doesn't have to be MTG to be enjoyable.
Will HotS be on same level of competitve gameplay as LoL or DoTA2? Maybe not, but again, it doesn't have to be. IT looks interesting enough for me to want to give it a go however.
No, the last thing YOU need. The more MOBAs the better IMO. MMOs are dead.
It should be noted that the very origins of the MOBA genre started out as a custom map for a Blizzard game (Warcraft 3 / Starcraft). This isn’t to take away from the creative minds that built the custom map, but they were only able to do so because Blizzard provided them an engine for it.
I quit WoW years ago and in hindsight, Star Wars: Galaxies was a superior game for me… But I guess you could call me a Blizzard Fanboy in general… Because Blizzard consistently makes amazing flipping games. I’m currently hooked on Hearthstone the way I was hooked on Magic in the early 90s, and while I quit LoL/Dota2 out of boredom with the genre, I’m quite excited about Heroes of the Storm.
Blizzard is going to shake up the genre; this will be familiar but entirely different. Mark my words. Mark em.

i said dead road not dead game and about the views if there is no competition the total views is not above 10k for the whole game http://www.twitch.tv/directory also remember why MLG quit having a SC2.... blizz fees are way too big and made them lose money

If this is like Super Smash Bros Brawl but with Blizzard characters I'm totally in.
...if like Dawn of the Ancients, I'm not even slightly interested
