Stupid beginners question
I am new to AION and the whole MMORPG stuff. If I might better start with something else - suggestions are welcome.
I have a billion questions:
- How to stop the background music from playing when I end AVION?
- I seem to have misplaced the AVION password. I have a steam password, a aeria passsword, and thought one of them is my avion password. But it does not seem to. WHICH EXACT SITE should I use to verify/modify my username and password in order to start the AVION game (the scene in which you fly in the canyon).
- Is there a tutorial on the game? A handbook? A beginners guide

I've not encountered the issue with BGM not stopping when you quit the client (just checked, it only persists for a few seconds), but you can mute it completely from the options panel which can be accessed even from the login screen.

Which website you go to in order to recover your password will depend on which regional version of Aion you're registered with. European servers are run by Gameforge, whose Aion site is at https://en.aion.gameforge.com/website/ (change "en" to "de", "fr" &c. for different language versions). North American servers are run by NCWest (na.aiononline.com). Each site has account / password recovery options which can be accessed from their login page.
EDIT: OK, just read your other post. Earlier this year NCWest mucked about with their accounts system, so I'm not entirely sure how setting up a new Aion account works now, but what it used to be was, you had an "NCSoft master account" and accounts for individual games which could have different usernames & passwords. If your account was migrated to, or set up on, the new system, your login name is the email address you used for your NCSoft account, and game password is the same as the account password.
I just registered with gameforce on the German site, without knowing if this is the correct one. Maybe I just try all of them, registering with any of them? In order tom play AION I surely registered something with at least 5 different sites.
Are all MMORPG so extremly complicated to setup, or just AION?
Anyway, I have a username and a password from gameforce. Will I be able to play the game now?
your problem is you have no idea what you are doing and probably mixing everything up. as i can see on your profile, you are from switzerland. so first advice go clear (deinstall) your pc from every version you have downloaded. than go to http://de.aion.gameforge.com/website/ and make a new account. they will send you a confirmation link to the email adress you used for the account. after that download and install the client from the gameforge site. now you should be able to play.
