Hook, line and drift... Founder Pack News

To start off I have been tracking this game for the past five years. Needless to say, I was super hyped for the game when SOE first showed us all the cool things they want to implement in EQN. I was highly into reading the lore and dissecting it for all it was worth to get hints or tidbits what might be in the game. Always checking each week for new content. I never understood why they didn't give us more content and blinded myself with how far the game must be in production. Assuming it must be in alpha at-least and by some time next year it would be released and Landmark would release a beta soon this November.

Time has past and boredom has set in. Now I find myself not wanting to post on the forums or to discuss topics for the game because of the lack of data they have pushed out to us. At-least now I can breathe a sigh of relief to all my concerns and questions after seeing some rather sad, but informative news that cleared the air for me.

Landmark Alpha: On or before February 28, 2014

Landmark Beta: On or before March 31, 2014

With the release of presumed dates given for just the Alpha and Beta (for just Landmark). Its easy to see now why there has been such a lack of information for EQN. Its to protect the hype for EQN. Hear me out now, imagine you released all the data for your game and it was picked apart and dissected two to three years in advance. The game wouldn't have anything to give for PR once the game came close to release date and I am sure by that time most people would have forgotten about the game and may be uninterested at that point. Also two to three years gives a lot of time for competition.

So as I may be disappointed and my fan boy tail has stopped wagging (for now). Just like a loyal dog, I'll wait til EQN gets here. Hopefully two to three more years is enough time for the game to be well polished. ...And of course I threw my money at the screen and got the Trail blazer pack for Landmark. I need to give myself something waiting this long for the game!

Anyone else feel the same? Already guessed EQN is a couple years out? Disagree? Found pack pay to win or is it just paying past a time sync? Comment below!

There is no information about EQN because, by my estimates, it's going to be released in 2016, if not later.

They haven't even started to implement the EQN as a game yet; so far they are just developing instruments to build it and systems which will be the part of its engine.

P.S. Remember when people were freaking out about sites giving EQN "the best of the show" and predicting that we are going to play EQN this year? Because, obviously, "you don't award best of the show to the game that isn't great, and to be great, it has to be nearly ready!"

    Good times, good times.

Haha you are absolutely correct about the pre-mature awards.

I would be lying in saying I am not bummed about the wait.  However, EQN being years away is, IMO, way off base.  I have a feeling that we may see EQN in Winter of 2014-2015.

We will know when they add EQN-functionally to Landmarks like combat and other stuff how soon we will get EQN to at least Alpha testing.

I think 2016 is way off the mark too. It should be ready to beta by the end of next year or early 2015 with the release being sometime in 2015 from what we've been told already.
