I know that's a bit rough for a title but as an example, we finally get a group together for end game content in Neverwinter right? But because we wouldn't RP or whatever w/ the tank, he left. 20 minutes later we are still waiting for tank for Gangualmire (sp?) content.
This is craziness.
Get away from my games you social leeches.
How is that a leech of any kind. You have no information of whether he was capable of doing the job or not. He could have been the most efficient tank you've ever had. He was not leeching anything.
He has a requirement and will go with a group that meets that requirement. He wasn't staying with you for any point. He realized you didn't meet his requirment so he left, exactly what he was supposed to do - either do the job or leave.
Agreed. Either there was part of the story the OP forgot to relay that would indicate the guy was a social leech or this is the whole scenario and the guy was anything but that. He joined, found out the party wasn't for him, left for another group that fit his playstyle. Seems reasonable to me.
We sat there about 15 seconds doing our hi's and hello's. Then he started talking about "Who's with me to kill these zombies. I fight for honor. Ahhh!" While i remember that statement fully, he went on and on and chat box was dead silent other then his spam lol.
He left saying "Well, if you aren't going to roleplay then I'm outta here."
Doogie, how is the above "holding them hostage"?
If i was in the group i would be frustrated because tank knows we need him so this attitude of 'either RP with me or i quit' is what then?
I also RP from time to time but i don't force it on others knowing well that i am a tank or a healer and that people need me especially during dungeon runs.. Sorry but that guy sounds like a huge tool.

Originally posted by lugal I thought the op was gonna talk about women in games. Single women, not a mom with her family. But this thread is all kinds of stupid. Sorry your raid fell apart. Next time, be less you, and more friendly.
I have a spine sir, and I won't back down to those who force RP.
A person who tries to "fit in" with a clique/group that they do not belong in. They cling unto you and won't go away easily, hence the name leech. A social leech follows the clique/group wherever they go, even if they don't pay any attention to him/her and give hints for the leech to leave. Most social leeches worship preps and will buy preppy clothes in a desperation to fit in. Similar to aposer, but more annoying."
Playing an MMO for social activity, omg the horror whoever would have tought about being social in an MMO....
Also your using the term wrong
He's the shining pinnacle of a social leach because when he fully realizes he can't/won't get the social aspects he covets, he leaves. Knowing full well with the tank class, it's a rinse and repeat option for him until he can see fit.
It's the same mentality of U.S. workers wanting and forcing regulations on business so they stay put so that the business then appeases the workers.
Everyone has now lost this argument. You can't argue with someone who doesn't know the definition of a word and refuses to acknowledge it even after being proven wrong. Nothing else to see here.
Leeches don't leave unless forced. We all know this. The OP apparently doesn't understand English. Let us all stop wasting our time trying to explain it.

Because we only did about 5 minutes of content before he up and left. We are still sitting in zone waiting on a tank. Finding an endgame group is tough in Neverwinter.
Ahhh... see, I missed where you had said you had already started your raid/grind/dungeon/thingy. Even then, is the game that broken that without the perfect combination the content can't be completed?

Well, yea. LOL. If the tank doesn't hold aggro, most dps don't have Defense stat so it's a matter of a few shots to kill em. Think of DPS like in TSW where they always min/max and disregard the health stat.

OP again, complaining about a game he is choosing to play.
How many awards are you going for buddy!?!?!

That guy has since logged off. I hope he's getting a lot of karma today. I wish he loses an arm or leg, that's just me.
I hate the self-righteous types.
