need a new game

Ive played mmos for too long and have no idea what other type of online games exist.  Id like to get into a first person shooter but i have no idea which games are populated this year

i d like to avoid a PVE shooter or level dependant, something like quake but possibly slower.

the only games i know of quake live and tribes

quake live goes way too fast (probably because im used to mmos)  tribes is fun but all outdoor

it can be another genre

do online turret defense games exist?

    Well I suppose for FPS you could do worse than Blacklight: Retribution. It's free on steam and its a multiplayer FPS. I picked it up last week or so, and I've had fun with it. It's kind of CoD/ Battlefield-esque, but again it's free so give it a shot.

    On the eternal quest for that one perfect MMO.

    Have you tried PlanetSide 2 ?

    You could also try the Call of Duty games on consoles.

    I would suggest Planetside 2 aswell, Really good game. dont actually need to play with anyone else to get kills, Takes a bit to get the higher end guns but in the end its allllll skill to play.

     

    If you can aim well, you will kill. there are 4 ingame currencies (Crets, Aircraft, Infantry and Vehicular) Certs are to gain new gear, the other 3 are to gain things like grenades and vehicles. You can real money crap but its not worth it, the only thing real money is for in the game is the cosmetics.

     

    and the vehicles take next to no time to build points for, just killing or being ingame for a while will get you enough points to buy stuff.

    hm... free to play shooters i'd suggest

    Planetside 2. great faction based three way warfare. but it does get a bit unbalanced when you get gunned down by sheer numbers.

    ghost recon online, a tactical class based shooter. quite fun but its a tps so... only if youre into that

    americas army... though you cant just go nuts and spray the hell out of everything

     

    if you feel like paying for a good game, you're likely to find yourself a few hours/days in either call of duty or battlefield. depending on the type of games you like
