How much do you actually play?

over the last six months i monitored my gaming hours (with raptr) , i played 670 hours over 6 months or  26 weeks..  thats about 26 hours a week.

Which actually surprised me as i allways estimated it to be 15 to 20 hours a week, but its considerably more.

Does that make me a hardcore gamer?

No, as despite the many hours i still play casually, not a power gamer, not a fast leveler either.

Does it make me an addict?

No, not really as i only play when there is nothing going on in real live, never ever did i put my gaming habbits above real life stuff.

Got over 200 hours in GW2 and LOTRO, and over 150 hours of WoW, the rest in smaller amounts in some other MMos.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

So 26 hours a week works out to about little more than 3 hours and 42 minutes a day. This is boarder line hardcore. Hardcore really starts at 30 hours a weeks and can go as high 80 hours in some cases. In the old days 26 hours a week was considered casual. I remember raiding atleast 30+ hours a week in EQ1 and that was just the raids. There was also hours of camping and farming and just plain grinding out 1000s of AAs on top of that. My game time has slowly decreased since then and now I average in the high 20s a week. Don't remember what my EQ1 total was but my EQ2 characters had over 4000 hours logged in an 8 year period from 2004 to 2012. There was at least a 1000 hours in SWG and another 1000 another in Lineage II. For 2013 I got several hundred hours in Vindictus and another 100 or so into Neverwinter.

I'd imagine I would play around 30 hours a week if I found a game that I really liked. I enjoy competitive games, and no doubt someone would call me a power gamer. I love playing games hardcore, but if the game is not very good, it is a really disappointing style of play. I don't want to spend hours upon hours on something that doesn't really "cut it" for me.

Well, if games dont cut it, i dont play them..

Open beta is a perfect podium to find out if a game is worth my money and time
