Can you please tell us what future story content the game is getting as I have no interest in pvp, or raids, but do like more story, and well just levelling alts, can you say what is to come to keep us excited in that area of the game, the story and pve stuff ?
Originally posted by Leowyld So, a certain prolific listmaker on Marvel Heroes forums is keeping a list of official coming heroes. He will not list one unless there is visible confirmation from a developer, though. You confirmed Peter Quill as coming to my buddy Onoroian in person at NYCC, but I do not believe a purple has repeated that on a forum. So, can you confirm here that Starlord is, indeed, planned so we can get him on that list?
Ooh that link sounds nifty! Could you post the link to that forum thread out here or you could just message me on the MH forum. Same username. Thanks.
As someone who likes to play most (if not all) of the heroes, leveling has been a big concern of mine, especially given the new design direction you guys are headed in with the hero reworks granting abilities all the way up to 52. It feels like playing a partial hero when you don't have your powers unlocked, especially when your "better" powers unlock in the 40s. Is there any way you would consider implementing a system where you get an account-wide exp boost for having heroes at a certain level? Something like a 5% boost per hero at level 50 or 60 would be amazing.
My second question relates to supergroups. It feels kinda useless to be in one at the moment because there is no real benefit from it, especially after queueing was implemented for certain game modes. Are there any plans to perhaps add an advancement system for supergroups like other MMOs have for guilds? You could add small boosts/buffs, chances to generate extra splinters/shards on kills or other things like that when supergroups reach a certain level. Leveling supergroups could take more than simply reaching "x amount of exp" but instead have challenges/achievements (basically legendary quests, but much larger amounts) that grant a percentage of levels when accomplished. Something like kill 100,000 purifiers, or reach wave 30 in x-def, or other things along those lines. I think some sort of advancement system would make players like myself actually want to join a supergroup and help contribute because there would be a tangible benefit.
Thanks for your time, it's really refreshing to see a game developer finally take the time to actively make their game better with patches instead of just completely ignoring it and claiming your expansion will be the best thing ever. I'm looking forward to what you guys have in store for the future.
Is there a way to get rid of the exp orbs because when you a fighting a lot of mobs some times you can't get at them then they disappear. I think exp should be automatic.
I have several friends who tried to play at launch but it was too laggy. Now that a lot of those issues have been resolved I want to play with them but most of my characters are 25+ for synergies -- Is there a plan to implement a "refer a friend" program that will give them an XP boost or XP pot when they create an account to level faster?
Are you planning on adding unique content, be it new Chapters, costumes, etc., for each new Marvel movie released? The Asgard stuff was a totally awesome addition.
A while back someone at gazillion mentioned maybe adding a sort of MOBA pvp mode (i'm pretty sure i didn't just dream this). Is this still in the cards?
Also, theres been a lot of things added to make heroes more powerful, but it doesn't feel like the enemies have followed with us. This game is pretty easy. Is there any chance of the enemies receiving more buffs to be more challenging?
An additional question, with pvp and pve abilities sometimes functioning very differently, will we see a time where a toggle may be added so we are allowed to view both versions of a characters abilities? Also, will dual power specs every be added to allow for one pve set of abilities, and a separate set of pvp abilities?
first of all i love your game and i must say its awesome ! Great work! The game has improved since beta so much , not comparable to other games! I just have two question:
As the new "expansion" or updated area is Asgard, is there any thought of having a vampire expansion? Maybe bringing in Blade and other Heroes that would be relevant?
I'd love a Blade enhanced Wesley Snipes costume and voice over! (assuming that he pays his taxes by the time it might come around)
1) Will we see Hawkeye's review on December or 2014?
2) The game must get a little bit more advertized. Many gamers don't even know about this game and they don't have any interest in it simply because they don't know about all the new content. Do you have any plans to make Marvel Heroes a well known MMO?
3) We need more costumes for some Heroes ( Hawkeye, Emma Frost, Squirrel Girl e.t.c.). Any plans for those?
4) On Christmas will we get limited edition content or maybe an event that gives us Santa's Artifact or Santa's Visual Effect? But not so hard as the Asgard event.
How happy is the team with Marvel Heroes and it's current state. Did it do as you expected, better worse ? Has the new content had a big impact on the games population ?
My personal opinion is the game has done better than I first thought it would in beta and I've been happy playing it on and off. For me it started out pretty meh and has been getting better and better ( which is probably a good direction for any game )
I'd love to ask you ton of questions about future heroes, but I already have a good idea what your answers would be.. So instead, I have a question about content :
How do you intend on bringing new content to the game ? Continuing the story by adding content for the top level heroes, or do you consider adding content differently ?
Question: What plans do you have for marketing Marvel Heroes towards new players, being that I don't hear a lot about this game on the mainstream sites. And most of the sites I DO see reviews for have given unfavorable reviews based on the early versions of the game. How do you go about bringing those players back and convincing them to give the game another chance? Also, how do you go about deciding which heroes (and villains) will be playable in the game? Obviously the more popular ones such as Wolverine, Iron Man, Hulk, and the like are a given, but what about lesser known characters such as Squirrel Girl?
Answer:
- We’ve have a team working on our new player experience and have improved that significantly in the areas of U improvements, new starting zone, new selection of heroes to start the game with, better tooltips, better clarity of systems and overall just smoother game.
- Because the new player experience is better, we’ve started to advertise the game in various areas. We’re starting to see new player registrations increasing significantly. We will continue to add more and more marketing as we go.
- Convincing new players to try the game again will be mostly through word of mouth. The goal will be this: (1) Make the game awesome. (2) Keep the existing players challenged and entertained. (3) Bring in new players as much as we can.
- For new heroes to add, we have a list of over 100 we are going to add. The order is determined mainly by player feedback, but also by our confidence in making a cool and unique design. Squirrel Girl was a very different type of hero with a unique feeling, so it was one of those “I bet we could do this” inspirations. Several of the upcoming heroes are challenges that we want to tackle, such as “How to make X-23 play differently than Wolverine”, “How to make Rogue feel interesting in the confines of a video game”, “How to build 20+ powers for Doop”, etc.
First I'd like to say that the draw for me has mostly been the interaction between the community and the devs, that aspect has made this game really fun for me. With that said I've played lots of heroes since launch, floated around on the forums till I got the hero I wanted to be my main Thor, and since getting Thor have noticed a lack of interaction from the devs with the Thor forums. I understand there's a lot going on, and between new content and trying to make everyone happy by tweaking their favorite heroes, it's hard to keep up with all the heroes.
My question is why can't the Thor forums get official acknowledgement of anything? Suggestions, requests, nothing.
Closest I figure we've gotten since my joining is how Loki's gear came out with nearly everything we suugested or requested.
Not trying to be negative, just honestly curious.
Otherwise, very happy with how different all the heroes play, different kinds of fun.

2 more questions
1) Can we expect a design review for Deadpool? If so, is there an ETA for this?
2) Why did you remove eternity splinters from pvp rewards?
Thanks

I have a couple more questions:
Any ETA on Psylocke and Magik?
Is Dazzler really going to be released as playable? If so, when?
