in all honesty, if i was the "boss" i would want the best, and the best is along the lines and looks of deadric armor, like the above

Well... for an emperor it's nice.

So those are the Emperor's new clothes? Fit for a transient ruler, I suppose.

With the amount of time they spent designing the emperor, his perks, and his own abilities, they could have implemented collision detection with at least PvE.

I hope I will not loot full set in 2 weeks after release day . Forgot ! armor looks nice very royal very medieval with no useless pieces which make armors in many games have unpractical and retarded look.  Also vintage  ornaments on armor make it very royal really like the idea looks very nice !!!

I just hope it will be something hard to get something special something that will be like

-Hey look that guys is waring Emperor set and reaction like wow!!

I mean I hope ESO will not be like WOW now where items gear have no value.

Mike there will be only 1 emperor , so it will not be get by loot/craft this goes with the pvp title i think .

And btw there is official date for TESO release ... can be fix up there.

the only way you'll get emp armor would be, be the guild/alliance leader of the faction that takes the controlling amount of keeps in cyrodiil, in any case, yes itll be pretty rare methinks

I do hope that this is only the heavy armor version. I suppose they could include the choice of which armor type it functions as and leave the appearance the same for all three types, but that would be a bit lazy. It would be possible to make three sets that were stylistically recognizable yet still identifiable as the correct form of armor. Anyone know what the deal is with that?

There will be several emperors at once. But only one per every campaign. There will be several campaigns running parallel to each other at all time for balancing reasons as well as to keep the fights from getting one-sided.

Can we go ahead and coin the term "Temperer" for Cyrodiil AvA leaders? You earn the "Emperor" from the community only after a week of rule. Let's houserule it. No? *sulks*

It will be interesting to see how this works out. I know you can keep your Emperor skills once you earn them. That would mean you can keep your armor as well?

With several campaigns running, I am still trying to figure out how the guild keep posting and selling will work. Does it mean that as a player you can go into any campaign that has a keep selling gear? Are you stuck in the campaign you first enter? Lots of questions go along with the multi campaign PvP.

I wish they would take some ideas from some of the lore friendly modded armors and weapons from skyrim.  Because some of them just looks freaking awsome.

I wonder if there are any plans to give the Emperor the power to also name a retinue, say twenty, who would have their own stylish armor.  Sort of like the King's Guard from Game of Thrones.  That would give the Emperor a better chance of lasting.  Although without collision detection maybe it won't matter.  Every Emperor will have a target painted on them for every enemy on the continent to try and take them down.

Considering a campaign change requires a bit of leg work (or fees), as it's essentially your server, I highly doubt you'll be "going into other campaigns" in such a way. AT most I"d expect a mega server wide auction system with such things listed.

The campaign (server/instance) will be for Cyrodiil only. The PvE areas will be one big mega server with shards you will be in so there aren't too many players. So far they have said player crafted items will have to be player to player only trade via chat in PvE areas. Also, guild owned keeps will be able to post crafted items for everyone to buy, but only in Cyrodiil. As long as your keep is not under siege. PvE players can port in, buy, then port out of Cyrodiil. So the only way to post crafted items will be with a keep in the PvP area.

That is why I was wondering if it will be a single campaign that you can buy from or any campaigns if you are not PvPing. If you are a part of a guild, then you will be in that campaign (instance/server) only I believe. But that would mean you will be limited to a small number of potential customers if you can only sell to your campaign. Then the economy will be mainly for PvP players and guild members that PvE for each campaign.

I don't think it's just per guild if that's what you're saying. unless something changed since last I read up on that. The campaign is all I was speaking toward. They outlined this fairly early on, once you join a campaign you're in that campaign, they compared a campaign to a server in a normal game. They said there would be a way to change campaign, but it would cost a bit, they compared a campaign change to a typical server change in other games. Unless things have been changed I'm pretty sure you will be limited to just your campaign, without some sort of cross Campaign auction system.

Edit- I said campaign far too many times in this post.

     How will that work?

If I am in Cyrodill Campaign 1 and we have Emporer Ipwnyouall you you are in Cyrodil Campaign 2 and you have Emporer Noobswildi and we meet outside of Cyrodil in the PvE area...isn't that kind of a stupid error to let us meet or are we also seperated by shards in PvE?

If so doesn't that mean you might be seperated from friends simply because you happen to have entered different campaigns...

I am sure they thought it sounded like a good idea and all but it all sounds like an ill thought out and badly designed gimmick to me.

Unsatisfied. Because it felt mediocre at best.

I wonder if this is wearable only while being the emperor or indefinitely after being the emperor once. I plan on playing a hardcore healer and going for this set soon after launch o.0.

It's kinda funny, in fiction the toughest guy is the ruler. In reality the toughest guy is in prison. When did fiction writers begin associating  martial prowess with political power?
