The first piece of news is that we welcome three new members to our development team: two of which are Jacek Komuda and Maciej Jurewicz. Jacek is a famous Polish author who has had dozens of his works published, both Jacek and Maciej have written for projects such as The Witcher and Bulletstorm. Together, they will be responsible for writing captivating lore for Gloria Victis. We hope to show a few lines of the lore without spoiling it in the near future, for now we have their word that the lore will be gritty, bloody, dark and styled like classic RPGs.
The second piece of news pertains to animations with regards to comments made on www.mmorpg.com and other websites regarding this aspect of Gloria Victis. We welcome our third new member Jaroslaw Zielinski to the team, Jaroslaw is an experience animator that has worked on many games such as Two Worlds II, Deadfall Adventures, Painkiller: Hell & Damnation or NecroVision. In addition to recruiting a talented and experienced animator we have also made the first installment towards the purchase of motion capture technology, something we could not have done without all of those that donated towards Gloria Victis, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all once again and to remind you that there will be special thank you gifts other than simply Pre-Alpha access to our large donors. All animations will now be reworked with our new equipment to give a more fluid and realistic animations! We would like to thank once again those that gave positive comments for your support and those that gave critical ones, even the most vitriol of comments have a grain of truth behind and we take all feedback seriously.
In other news, we have completely reworked our database for the implementation of our complex sandbox crafting system, the ability to create Warbands as well as the addition of a second nation. Players in this upcoming update will be able to fight for the glory of their standard as well as for the honour of their nation, all of which will be available on even lower computer requirements due to the many optimizations in our coding we have made in the past month. We expect this update to take us over a month but we will keep you all constantly updated with the progress of this monumental update.
Thank you all once again for your feedback, donations and continued support!

Awesome news.
I'm very excited about the game. I lost the "join pre-alpha" announcement but I'm certainly going to check if i can still donate to join now. I've talked to a friend that was fed up by all those cartoony, unimmersive, childish, streamline mmos out there and he was quite interested also.
Anyway, the freedom of sandbox design along with an immersive dark, gritty world and aim-based combat is the basic foundation for the success of any future mmo and GV seems to do this right.
Sad though because I love this style to, but most MMO players hate it... Being in the gaming industry, and building games, I notice more players like Tab Target or something easy to deal with. Many people hate PVP Full Loot games and games built around PVP.
I been a gamer since I was very young and I'm an old man now, so I'm a bit sick of some of the WOW Clones, and such. WOW was a great game, no doubt, but the game is boring. Any game I make is built with skill based combat. I also hate Bad AI's and UI's. I'm a programmer and an Artist which is not common. I mainly work on UI's though and some AI. I work my ass of to find new initiative ways to make the UI better in games and in MMO's for AI, since many games have bad AI's. I work with AI's so they have more than one attack. I make it for UI's to make it easier for the players to set it to there liking. I think every thing on a HUD should be scaled, the way the player likes it, and move as well. I also hate UI's they have to many windows.
I actually made a UI for a MMO that has one window for your inventory and your character dressing room, and no I won't give it away to others. I plan to use it in a game, because I have never seen it yet. I have shown some designers that I know that are in the field and known, and they said it is good and never seen anything like it. So my point is I love Game Design and love seeing Indies do well.
I hope you guys do well, because I worked for a few Kick starters and projects like this, and they end up falling on there face, I had a few release. But noticed alot have no idea with the amount of work.
Glad to see you using Unity, I use it, and its an awesome engine with a great community. Plus the new tools they been adding are awesome. I was wondering, what you guys are using for the UI...... Please don't tell me Unity GUI system I will have to cry.. Its not good at all... and I have learned to stay away from there GUI because its trash!!
